Bayside Bed and Biscuit — Local services in League City

This review is long overdue, as we've been sending our pup, Ellie Bee, here since December 2024; however, the upside is that we've had the opportunity to try all of their services. First and foremost, we love Bayside Bed and Biscuit and everything they have to offer! We couldn't imagine sending Ellie Bee anywhere else for group play every week. Since we have tried all of the services BBB offers, I'm going to go in-depth on each individually:

Training - Our relationship with BBB began when we reached out to the training team for guidance and assistance in socialization training for Ellie Bee. We connected with Amanda, who was quick to learn about Ellie Bee's history and helped us develop a plan to address Ellie's struggles in socializing with other dogs. After a group play assessment and a few months of weekly group, Ellie Bee spent a week with Amanda in the "Day Training" program. Ellie came out feeling more confident in the world around her with a new set of skills to use. Amanda was amazing to work with -- she quickly understood what Ellie needed and how to address it. Ellie Bee progressed very far in a short amount of time and has continued to expand her skills. We couldn't recommend Amanda and the training programs at BBB more!

Day Care - As part of Ellie Bee's socialization training, she participates in weekly group play. The Day Care team has been great about working through Ellie's training and communicating her experiences. Ellie always knows when it's time to play with her friends, and then she comes home absolutely worn out from playing hard! (See pics below!)

Boarding - We have chosen to board Ellie Bee here on multiple occasions, and she always comes home happy and healthy! We like to think Ellie has gotten to know the staff pretty well, so the familiarity helps her adapt a bit better when we're away. We really look forward to seeing how her stay went with the included "report card"; however, we wish we could receive daily updates/photos while she is boarded. Nonetheless, she receives great care during boarding, and we haven't considered boarding her anywhere else!

Grooming - Ellie Bee doesn't need much in terms of grooming; however, the staff at BBB has been great in helping Ellie get her nails trimmed. Ellie can be a bit anxious at times, and I know the Grooming team has done a great job at soothing her during the trim.

Well, I was told about this place by a dear friend of mine. My husband and I were going out of town for 9 days and I was concerned that my pup, a border collie, would be stuck in a kennel all day. I was told that they have a group play that the dogs can participate in, basically they get to play from the morning to the afternoon, and I was very excited. I had to take time off of work to get her evaluated, which was fine, it meant that she would not be stuck in a cage for a whole week. I had my mother in law drop her off and made sure that they had all the information in the computer. I was nervous but I figured she would have a great time. When I got back, I found out that she did not get to participate in the group play, only 15 minutes of personal time....not what I wanted. I had gone over this with the people numerous times that I wanted her to have the group play, but apparently no one looked in the computer. I felt like they were so unorganized. I will be honest, I knew once I got back something was going to go wrong by my interactions prior to dropping off my pup. I will not be using them again. There is only one word for Bayside Bed and Biscuit…..and that is AWESOME!! The great thing about them is that word applies to every single employee!! I have never frequented a business that was so top notch on every level. My dog (a bichon princess) plays there, boards there and most importantly ABSOLUTELY LOVES it there. Our precious princess usually plays 3-4 days per week. As soon as we ask her if she wants to go play with her friends, she is at the door jumping to go. We bring her each day from the western area of Galveston. Easily a 45 minute drive each way that we feel is a small price to pay for the wonderful care she receives. She gets groomed every Friday and Taylor always makes her look like a million dollars. The deck hands that play with my sweet Chloe on a daily basis treat her like family. The ladies at the front desk are always so warm and welcoming. They always have treats available which my dogs always looks forward to.
