Fantastic little bookstore. I went in looking for a couple of books and the woman behind the counter went above and beyond trying to help me locate them. Unfortunately, they didn't have what I wanted (I knew it was a long shot, they're fairly expensive books that people rarely want to get rid of) but she did show me a very similar book in the same vein that I ended up purchasing. She also told me they could add my name and number to their system and give me a call if a particular book ever came back in. I'd give her name, but I never got it for a very understandable reason regarding some creepy customers in the past. That said, she was very friendly and helpful, and we had a hilarious conversation about what happens to books about a certain infamous person currently trying to set the U.S. back almost a century, but I digress...
From what I saw, they have a great selection of new and used books from every genre, although I didn't make it to the rooms in the back since everything I was interested in was in the main area. I think I may have seen a shelf or two dedicated to other boardgames, but it could have been more D&D expansions and campaign books.
I will absolutely be returning in the near future and I highly recommend visiting this place. Especially to anyone with a brain who's looking for something bright to focus on in what's currently an otherwise gloomy...
Read moreGreat find right on Lebanon Square! Harper's Books has an excellent selection of both new and used books at really reasonable prices. Whether you're looking for the latest releases or hunting for hidden gems among their used collection, you'll find something worthwhile here. The location is convenient and the pricing makes it easy to walk away with more books than you planned to buy. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you're a book lover looking for quality books without...
Read moreI love Harper's. It's a great little place for new and used books. Local shops need to be saved. You don't want to be in a city without a bookstore. It's like that quote from Ray Bradbury, "You don't have to burn books to destroy a culture, just get people to stop reading them." I don't want that to apply to my town or my family. We'll continue supporting Harper's. If they don't have a book, talk to them; they can...
