Customer Service is HORRIFIC!!! Firstly I understand that you can't please everyone. I have a company too. I know that products fail and business makes mistakes. However when products fail and someone makes a mistake a good company will take care of it. Not the case here. After spending over $650 here over the last two weekends, the fishing rod that I bought my wife for her birthday(pretty pricey) snapped in half after just 6 casts. No biggie. Things happen. maybe it was damaged in shipping. So we finished out our weekend on her 60$ Bass Proshop combo and she called Brooker on Monday. She was in short told its her problem and she could call back the next day and speak with Bill the owner. I called to speak with Bill the next day and was told now Bill won't return until maybe Thursday or Friday and was there anything the person could do to help. I explained my situation and he basically told me the same thing they told my wife the day before. Its my problem. Brooker doesn't warranty anything. I explained I didn't expect them to warranty the pole. I expected customer service. The manufacturer warranties the pole but for the amount of money I've spent (not really relevant to customer service) I expect they would contact the manufacturer and take care of getting me a replacement. They even have others in the store they could easily swap out and get it replaced themselves. However Brooker doesn't seem to like this idea. So when the person on the phone at Brooker doesn't like what I'm telling him he all but hangs up on me saying "I cant do anything, you'll have to call Bill whenever he comes back" and then hangs up. So If I was in the area and needed products would I go back? They have just about everything you'll need. I would consider buying cheap stuff there. I would never buy another expensive product from them again. Seemingly when it fails, Your on your own. For Brooker Bait and Tackle, ever wonder why people don't support local business? This is why. your customer service and consideration for your customer is terrible. Why pay your markup on products only to be left hanging when it fails. Took it in and they said it would be a $60 replacement cost. When we told them that wasnt what we were told when we bought it. They basically said we were lying.
