I needed a washer and dryer. After reading the reviews, we thought MVB would be a good local choice. We went in on Friday morning, 10/11/24, to see the selection. Doors are wide open, we walk and start looking around. The first thing I'm noticing is that no prices are posted on ANY appliance we walk by. There's a man behind the counter talking to a customer? (It was a fishing discussion, not appliances) and another guy in the back. Ten minutes later, we still haven't even gotten a hello and there's nobody else in the place!!!!! My husband finally says "are you open?" Then the guy from the back pops out and asks if he can show us something. The guy at the counter wanders over and the other old guy (customer?) says maybe I'll let you guys work. SERIOUSLY?!?! I'm trying to shop for appliances and you don't want to work. There's nobody else in your store!!! We're the only folks stopping. The guy who came out of the back, came over with an attitude, no introduction, just "what do you want?" We replied that we were shopping for a new washer/dryer set. This guy lifts a lid says here you go and pulls a price out of thin air!!!! At this point, I'm frustrated by the overall rudeness and ready to go. I don't think I've ever been in an appliance store that isn't busy, and been treated like I was a bother!! At this point, we left. I'm spending $1500 and nobody wants to be polite or helpful.......I don't have to spend my money where I'm not treated nicely. The rude men can keep their lazy attitudes. We went 5 minutes down the road to another appliance store where we were treated much better!!! Second store is delivering my items today!!! Normally we buy our appliances at Lowe's. It has been the only place to go until last weekend. On Saturday we purchased all new appliances for the kitchen and also a new washer dryer. As the order was being placed we were told that there will be 3 different delivery dates. We asked how come we couldn't get them all delivered at the same time. We were told that they no longer can keep them all in one place. We decided to go ahead with the order since what we really needed at the time was a refrigerator which they said was scheduled to be delivered the next day along with the washer. Long story short this did not happen. The installers canceled our order without calling us. Lowe's didn't seem to care so we canceled the purchase of all the appliances.

On Monday I stopped into MVB Appliances to see what they might have. Low and behold they just set a new display with the same appliances that we were ordering from Lowe's. Initially MVB was going to order the appliances but than in conversation they made a phone call and said that we could have the new appliances on display and went ahead with scheduling the delivery of all the appliances the very next day. Needless to say they were terrific, they went above and beyond to help me out. The guys that came out to install did a great job. They moved all our old appliances, hooked up all the new, wiped everything down and double checked that all was working properly. Not only that but the guy installing the stove took a blue broom and swept the area to make sure that there was no debris before putting the new stove in place. Our refrigerator went on the fritz. We have a home warranty that came with our home purchase. We've used it several times for repairs but never for replacement of anything. The warranty company is giving us some money toward the purchase of a new refrigerator. We went to a big box store and have a very good offer on paper. We wanted to shop locally in a "Mom and Pop" business, if possible. We live in Lady Lake and in our search, we found MVB Appliance in Leesburg. We initially bought a small GE refrigerator from them while we waited for our claim to process (about a month of back and forth) and placed it in our garage for our present day to day needs. Once we knew we were going to have settlement and get the warranty check, we opted go see them again. MVB Appliance is where we chose to purchase our 2nd GE Refrigerator, the replacement for the failed LG. We dealt with Sonny Rothwell. Good customer service, very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. The delivery of our first GE refrigerator was perfect, and I don't expect anything different for the next. First year warranty work (if necessary) is handled by the staff repairmen from MVB, that was important for us. They have two locations - Ocala and Leesburg, just...
