Disappointed in Return Policy Transparency
I’ve been a longtime supporter of local game stores, and I always try to shop small when possible. Unfortunately, I had a disappointing experience at Dragon’s Keep recently. I purchased a sealed Final Fantasy “Counter Blitz” Commander Deck (MTG), and when I tried to return it — still sealed and in its original packaging — they refused.
I was told they’ve “been burned” on this product before and therefore wouldn’t accept a return. While I understand stores can set their own policies, this felt inconsistent and arbitrary — especially since no formal return policy was posted or communicated during purchase.
What’s more concerning is that this product is being sold at well above MSRP, which likely played a part in the refusal. For a customer-focused hobby shop, I expected clearer communication and more reasonable policies.
If you're looking for transparent pricing and a posted return policy, I suggest checking out Game Grid in Lehi. They’ve always been fair and upfront in my experience.
I hope Dragon’s Keep considers posting a clear return policy and applying it consistently across all items. I really want to support local stores — but trust and...

Don't get me totally wrong, the vibe is definitely "Classic Comic Book" store and it's charming, but things are more difficult here than at other stores. Prices are nowhere to be seen on much of the inventory, and when you do ask how much something is, your Spidey senses tingle that it just feels too expensive - which a quick Google search confirms that feeling. My personal experience was from buying a collectors booster for mtg which was $10 more on average per pack, and when I asked about it the worker just said that I need to be careful online and that if I buy them online for cheaper "I'm getting altered chances" on the card drops. That doesn't explain why the boosters are $10 more than even official prices online... I digress. I recommend other stores. this one's good in a board game scratch that itch in a pinch kind of way, but long term this isn't where you want to invest for games unless you just don't care...
Read moreI just moved to the area and stumbled on this shop completely by accident, nestled in a charming (to me, anyways) old town strip of Lehi. Being a Magic player, I knew I had to step in and see what they had.
To my enjoyment, they had their own stock of desirable Magic Cards, many of them are not listed online so it's all about first come - first serve. They also have a variety of relatively organized common boxes that you can sift through if you need a particular card not on the shelf.
I picked a choice card from the common box and purchased a Phyrexian booster pack with the sole goal of supporting a local business, then I opened the pack to find a Drivnod, Carnage Dominus card that will go great in my grn/blk deck!! If that's not a sign, I don't know what is!
I will definitely be going back here when I have free time, even just for the...
