Horrible customer service! I was followed around the store, and they tried to rip me off! Guess I won't be going back to this local ace hardware. I went in knowing exactly what I needed and where it should be. It wasn't there. Asked, and explained the purpose and was led to the in house shop area, and shown the stock on hand. I said "these are still sold in three pieces lots correct?" ( I've been buying this product solely from Ace hardwares for over a decade now) "No ma'am those are per piece." The man said. "Really?! How odd! When did they stop selling them in lots of three?" "They've always been sold per piece ma'am" "Really?" I said inspecting the bundle of three held together with cling film, "Because they're wrapped together, and the tag says 3 pieces right here" I said pointing at the tag. "No ma'am it's per stick" "Really? Because this tag, the display tag, and the website all say per 3 pieces." He says " ma'am that says three foot" "Yes it does in fact," I said, "right here, directly above where it says three pieces." Man now grumbling, *I don't know about that, let me get my glasses." I said," Ya know what. Don't bother sir. I'll drive into the city to buy this at a different Ace Hardware at the advertised price before I come back here and pay the price of three for one stick!" And started walking away. " Well hold on now! " He hollered after me. Not pausing I lifted my hand still walking and waved, said "I said, no thank you, goodbye!" I told the lady at the front I won't be ripped off, explained the situation, obviously agitated, and was simply told to have a nice day, So I left. I refuse to waste my money in a store with such poor customer service and interaction. This is also going in an email to Corporate. After shopping at Ace Hardware's my entire life this is the first time I've ever received this kind...
Read moreI try and give this place business once in a while, eve though I have to drive by Home Depot… but it’s sad that the little chains are closing. I have been in there probably 5 times over past few months and spent maybe 300 - 500 total.
I have to say the staff is not as friendly as I would hope every time I go into this location.
Today I needed to rent a carpet cleaner. I called and asked if they rented rug doctors and I was told yes… I should have realized it wasn’t when she handed it to me, after I paid and bought the solution so that part was on me. Anyways, the thing didn’t work… I ensured I did everything correctly, watched videos, etc.
I called hoping the manager could direct me to some sort of support line to help get it working or give me some technical support. I spent 3 hours plus of my day to pick it up and try and get it working and then to return it. To be fair he did agree to let me return it for a refund, but didn’t want to refund the $25 solution until I pushed back.

I had an attic fan belt in my hand and ask him where are the belts were I needed one for an attic fan and he told me to go to an auto parts store and I said really this is an attic fan belt real dismissive like in the way he looked at me was as if as if I was stupid to bring an attic fan belt into a hardware store looking for that. So I told him to get no I'm looking for an attic fan belt. He then told me very rudely I just told you we don't have any belts here which isn't even what he said in the first place. Anyway I know it's Petty but if you want to be disrespectful to your customers I won't be one of them ever again this location will never see my business again so you can think that...
