Sat I was referred to a tattoo shop in lemon grove unfortunately the people told me no artist there did color tattoos. S/n as I’m being told this a guy was getting a tattoo with color so it’s safe to say they said that because of my dark skin complexion. I decided I was gonna go home but stumble across tattoo and skate and called the shop and the guy that answered I explained to him what wanted it done and he told me to come in. I’m sorry I can’t remember my artist name. It was my first time there, but I truly appreciate him taking the time to bring my tattoo to life and actually execute the colors that I wanted.. The artist with the cool beard chair to the back of the studio. This picture isn’t the greatest, but I wanted you guys to see how he made the colors pop. I’m fully tatted so the previous shop would’ve took time to look at my art they would’ve saw that color shows good on my skin.. thank you again for a wonderful experience. I’ll definitely be back. Rene Lopez. He's an amazing artist but his attitude is poor. He also gouged my elbow having no sympathy for the placement of the tattoo. He has zero arm tattoos. It took him 2 hours to prepare before he could tattoo me because he was out right flirting with their receptionist. It made me very uncomfortable. Absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional. My tattoo healed poorly and it looks almost grey in the center of my elbow, the focal point of my tattoo. It was suppose to be black. That's how badly he tore my skin up. 0/10 would not reccomend Rene to tattoo my family...

I had a large back piece tattoo that meant alot to me and Mouse was the exact artist to bring that tattoo to life. I've seen other versions of this tattoo and they're nowhere near the immaculate attention to detail, exact weight, thickness and placement of each fine line that Mouse put to my back. If I still lived in San Diego I'd for sure have more tattoos because after setting the bar so high, I don't know if I could trust another artist to have such a consistent dedication to accuracy...
