Lemon Grove Library — Attraction in Lemon Grove

I feel bad leaving this kind of review for a library but I don’t want other people to have the same experience. I knew to the area and I don’t understand how the parking works. It’s a Saturday and the parking is filled all over the street and I’m not sure if I could park in the school or in the fire station. I finally found parking and came in. I was six minutes late to the beginning of the class so I was registered and confirmed for. I came in the man checked my name on the list Knew I was confirmed and asked for me to have a seat. The lady running the presentation decided that I couldn’t be included. I planned for it. I wasted a Saturday, which is my only day off to come to this class and she didn’t care that I was confirmed and within the timeframe. She disregarded everything the Library representative was saying and said that she wasn’t gonna talk about that. She was gonna talk about flowers because flowers made her happy and she only brought flowers for 20 people. It was really humiliating and I don’t appreciate being talked to you like that in front of a group of people and I don’t appreciate having my Saturday wasted. This incident pretty much ruined my day I do not recommend coming to this library or taking classes here. Absolutely waste of my day off. I could have made other plans. I’ve been trying to make the most of my current productive writing momentum and what better place to do that than at the library. I’ve been touring the libraries of San Diego county and enjoying the heck out of it! I hadn’t been to the Lemon Grove Library in ages except to drop off ballots. It was remodeled years ago and done extremely well. The space is open and bright with lots of good seating and tables. The nice cool space was perfect to work on the ridiculously hot summer day, too. The library had a few people moving or sitting about. I picked and sat at a table in the middle and enjoyed the calm and quiet atmosphere. WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS LIBRARY!!! Where are all the books, there are empty shelves everywhere. I visited the other day and the shorter grey haired woman was very rude. Needless to say the staff would do well to take customer service seriously, I used to frequent this library pre-pandemic and miss the engaging team that welcomed the public as well as the wide selection that was offered.
