Golden Cardinal is one of the best tattoo shops in my area without a doubt let alone in Lenoir itself. Every artist there is extremely talented, personable, friendly, and amazing. I primarily get most of my tattoos from Ivy Fyans who specializes in amazing realism portraits but who also has a range of other skills such as fine line and greyscale, and am returning to her this fall to finish an amazing paired mirror piece we’ve been working on. I have also gotten two tattoos from Sunny D who does phenomenal neon, glitter, pastel, and watercolor pieces and has one of the best portfolios for gamer subjects like Pokémon, Legend of Zelda, etc. I’ve gotten one of the prettiest fine line tattoos by Ally Pareti (aka Unholy Ally) which she specializes alongside a newer style I can’t remember the name of but which looks so cool. I’m scheduled to get a tattoo from Angela Evans (aka LaLa) this fall to do a coverup and I sought her specifically for her amazing work with coverups and her unique style. I hope to get tattooed by the other three artists, Brian Ballew, Mia, and Xavier who I don’t know well but whose work looks awesome too. The shop is clean and organized, and handicap accessible from what I can tell. The work they put into not only their artwork but the atmosphere and care for their clients and customers (new or returning) is evident. I brag and recommend the shop to everyone who asks about my tattoos and everyone’s styles and specialties are so widely ranged that anyone can find someone there for their own style. I couldn’t be happier with my tattoo experience! Sunny D is incredibly talented and brought my vision to life with amazing detail and precision. My sleeve turned out even better than I imagined—the shading, line work, and overall composition are flawless. The studio was clean and professional with a great vibe, and they made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process.
