In all honesty, I cannot post about the food because we never got the chance to even sit down and order food. My daughter was in town from college and I have just moved to the area and a neighbor told me of this really great restaurant. My daughter and I are always nerdy for the local culinary fare and were excited to go have Sunday brunch at a local restaurant, because Lenoir has a lot of fast food cookie cutter restaurants. When we walked in there was an elderly couple in front of us who were seated and then we were the only two people that stood in the restaurant for 25 minutes after that couple was seated. The entire time we waited, no employee looked at us, greeted us, told us they were full. Nobody told us we required reservations. Nobody told us there would be a 30 minute wait. Nobody acknowledged our existence. I observed empty tables, I observed dirty tables that were never cleaned so that the people waiting in line could be seated. I observed five staff behind the counter, standing around talking to each other while nobody looked us or acknowledged our existence. I think we’re pretty normal looking and approachable people. It was weird. We finally googled other restaurants while we were standing in line waiting, and then left. Nobody talked to us or looked at us the whole entire time we stood in the middle of that restaurant, waiting to be seated. I mean, excuse the hell out of us for...
Read moreWe went on a Sunday during their brunch hours and ended up having breakfast.
We waited patiently about 10 minutes to be seated because there was no hostess. We weren't greeted by staff until we were seated and really just kind of stood awkwardly in the front lobby. As we had never been there before, we didn't really know what else to do. We were hopeful, though, seeing all the workers moving around that once we got seated, the service would be incredibly fast.
While we don't doubt the work of the staff, the wait time to get our food was much longer than anticipated. Looking back, it seems as if the restaurant seated more people than it could accommodate in a timely fashion. Some time after we ordered, we received a plate of condiments to go with our order, which we took as a sign that our food must be coming out soon. However, it was around 15 minutes later. We ended up waiting about 40 minutes from the time we ordered to get our food, which was by no means a complicated order. No one apologized for the wait or seemed to express that this was inordinate.
The food was hot and was fine, although we do feel it important to note that the "hash browns" are actually breakfast potatoes. The establishment overall was very well kept and very clean.
If not for the long wait, we would happily...
Read moreI just left here after waiting an hour and a half for our breakfast 🥞🍳 absolutely ridiculous. We got here at roughly 10:20 and waited almost 20 minutes just to get our seat and then we got seated and got a coffee ☕ and I got a water and it's like they forgot about us. We ordered our food and we waited over an hour and we still didn't get our food!! I was in there for over an hour and a half and never got our food! It really started aggravating is when we noticed that they were starting to serve burgers and fries and lunch and to people that had came in after us! all we ordered was breakfast food, an omelet and pancakes and some eggs and bacon. Absolutely crazy I wasted my morning in there waiting for food that never came so we paid for the coffee and water and left and they're lucky my GF is nice she still left a 5 dollar tip which is crazy but they're lucky because I will never go back...
