I went this place when I had laptop screen display issue (screen was black with backlight on). The problem started shortly after windows update, so I uninstalled the update almost one by one, during which the screen came back on for couple of times after each reboot, but eventually went black again after the last uninstall. When I went to the store I explained everything and asked if it can be a software problem. The owner/technician said it should be a problem with the screen itself and the screen might be replaced. He called me couple of hours later and said it needs a new screen. Since I need a new screen anyway, I asked if the resolution can be upgraded. He said he couldn't find the proper model that works with it and suggested me to find and ordered one myself, so I ordered one and brought it to him. He called later and said even with the new screen, it still didn't resolve the issue, so it mostly likely is the problem with display cable or the socket on the motherboard in few cases which he cannot address. Therefore, a cable was ordered, which took a week.(I had to work with the computer but since he said the laptop is disassembled and it is very time consuming to put it back, and it is not good for the computer to be reassembled and disassembled, I agreed to wait.) When the cable finally arrived, he called me again and said windows need to be reset.(not restore to the previous status/saved point) When I picked up the computer, it cannot even be reset. He said I need to reinstall a new windows after formatting the disk while I don't even have a windows installation disk, so need to purchase a new one. I already paid over $200 just for the screen, cable and the labor, and need to buy a new windows for another $150, yet have to deal with backing up data, installing other softwares spending many hours frustrated. When I asked him how I can reinstall windows when I have no installation disk, he said he cannot answer all the question. He said he would rather not get paid for his labor. What a professionalism! Absolutely not satisfied!! He should have at least diagnosed the problem first before making me order the parts if he wasn't completely sure what the actual problem was!    Read moreI can’t express how amazing of an experience I had with the owner. He took my MacBook that Apple first tried to tell me would cost minimum $550 for a new battery and more for labor. They eventually told me it would be better to just buy a new $2100 computer because cost around the same to fix it.. then told me it was too dirty inside to touch. Nope. Computer wiz fixed it. It had other problems inside and he nursed it back to life without losing ANY of my data. Plus came to a price of under $700 for all the parts he fixed (battery, shell popped open, electrical problems, overheating, wouldn’t stay charged, swollen parts, and more.) and it was quick even though it was during the holidays.    Read moreI had a problem in my desk top where internet connection speed was substantially low compared to labtop and experienced quite a bit of delay when I work from. I tried wifi extender and replaced USB LAN cable. However, none of them worked. Hence, I called Computer Wiz finally, they recommended to install internal Antenna in my desktop.
