French Nails — Local services in Leonia

Very negative experience. Michelle was rude, rushed, and did not treat me like a person but like a hassle keeping her from going home. I came in at 6:45 seeing if they were available to take me for a mani pedi for a formal party. I was the only customer, and I was kindly welcomed by three free manicurists to the pedi chair right away. I asked what time they're closed, and they said don't worry they close at 7:30. I don't get my nails done often, so Michelle gave me her opinion on color, and I followed her advice. She kept strongly suggesting I paint my natural nails with no tips, so I took her suggestion. It seemed like she was trying to do the quickest job possible, but i decided to give her the benefit of the doubt. Michelle became increasingly rushed, demanding, and bossy to hurry in everything that I do with her. She wouldn't let me see how her designs that she put on my ring fingers looked, and would yell "just put it in the dryer" after each nail was done over and over again without letting me see how it looked. When I was trying to decide for 3 seconds about two different options of a top coat color that SHE offered, she demeaningly told me to hurry up and make a decision right now. I had asked for a jewel in the middle of her asterix star on my ring fingers. When I tried to see how it looked when she placed it, she immediately yelled at me to put it inside the nail dryer and I couldn't even take a glance. When I tried to take just one second to look at it, she would continue to yell at me to put it in the dryer so that I wouldn't see it. I felt like I was in a factory trying to keep up with her rush to go home. And then when it was all finished, I was unhappy with how messy and busy the jewel looked, and she said she would charge $10 for each ring finger to do it again. She gaslit me and said that she already told me that a jewel wouldn't look good, but she never did. If she told me it wasn't a good idea, why would I have gone with it? She had no explanation of why she was so rushed. She was simply abusive. If she didn't have enough time to treat me like a person, she shouldn't have taken me...

THE best. Have been a regular at this nail salon for a couple months now and I dont have a single complaint. I have been to a lot of nail salons and the service and skills the workers have here is unmatched. I find that the pedicure experience here is longer than other salons and they just got fancy new massage chairs which is an amazing deal for $30 (regular pedi). I always get gel nails and the color options are all gorgeous (they get some gels imported from Korea). The nail prep part is so sophisticated yet fast and my nail beds have actually gotten stronger in the past few months even though I constantly get gel on my nails which just shows the quality of their products and service. I've been living in Leonia for over 10 years and I've been to every nail salon in Leonia and several in Englewood. French nails is by far the absolute best salon in the area. The quality of service far exceeds expectations and their rates are reasonable. They don't treat you like cattle and everyone at the salon is super friendly and very accommodating.
