First time and will be the last time I come to Staples to return an Amazon purchase. The gentleman at the front counter (large man on oxygen) was extremely rude and unprofessional. I stepped up to the counter, not knowing if this was the correct place for the return. He was down a ways, and said, "What do you need"? I said. "I have a return for Amazon." He snapped with a tone in his voice saying, "It has to be out of the box." I replied, " ok, that is fine, help yourself, as I do not have a knife." If looks could kill, I would be dead right then and there.
He then turned, walked over grabbed a pair of scissors, and aggressively started ripping into the box, giving no regard to what was in the box. He was visibly mad he had to open the box it seemed. He looked all through it, then threw the package into a box. He was acting like a pissed off child. He then printed off a receipt, and shoved it crossed the counter. I picked it up and said, "Thank you sir". He raised his voice, and said sarcastically "THANK YOU". I stopped. turned and asked, " What is with the attitude?" He did not like that, got irritated and raised his voice again, and said, "I do not have an attitude, I am thanking you, I am thanking you". This man in no way should be representing Staples by being in customer service dealing with the public. He was irritated from the moment I stepped to the counter. Perhaps he was not feeling well, maybe his oxygen level was too low, maybe he is just not good with people.
No matter what his problem was, he attitude, manners, and tone of voice and actions were not professional, pleasant and he made it very apparent he was not happy about doing his job!

I asked for a manager that told the cashier he did nothing wrong. They DO NOT have the LEGAL right or authority to accept a credit card transaction and bypass my review of the charges. I also called their corporate offices and filed a complaint. For all I know, they said yes to donations or something else. I will have to verify with my credit card company. The girl at the counter didn't really seem interested in fixing the issue and maybe she was having an off day but when I got the review request in my email almost immediately I definitely let them know I wasn't happy. Today the Store Manager Johnny came into my work to hand deliver the remade business cards I originally ordered, he apologized and explained it was an issue with their website and Cinnamon (whom I've worked with before and loved) was able to retrieve the design I needed to fix it!
