I was at the Fayette mall yesterday and walked into Chocomania. I was really curious what all kinds of desserts they offered. I saw a case and started looking. First, only a couple items in the case even had labels or prices, so I literally had to ask what an item was. The store associate seemed to get annoyed at telling me what the items in the case were but how do you expect me to know if you donāt label your items? and i only even asked what 3-4 items were out of 15+ in the case. even though she told me what a couple of the items were, I have no idea how much they were. I asked the price on the viral fruit thing and she responded āthey range from $10-$20ā. There were three choices of those and I guess it was too much trouble to say the price of each one
I wanted to try one of the viral fruit moose things, but after the way the store associate acted I decided to pass.
There were definitely some things that looked really good, but Iām not going to purchase if theyāre rolling their eyes at me and acting like Iām bothering them asking about the things they are selling. Iāll give it another shot in the future. Weāll see what happens
Summary: Make sure items in the case are labeled with a product name, short description, and price. Train the people who represent your store what customer service is and how to really sell the product when someoneās asking about it
I didnāt even get to try anything yet so this review is 100% based on customer service interaction and store display information.
I know there has been dreams with this business in the past about low reviews - so Iām a real person and Iāve been elite on Yelp for 6 years. It isnāt hard to find me if you want to for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love going to this place. Every time I visit, I feel really happy, and they always have something different. They have a huge variety of chocolates and desserts, from classic flavors to some really unique ones. I feel like Iāve never seen or tried that kind of chocolate before. For example, I tried their root beer chocolate and a peach one, and both were so different but really good. My personal favorite is their raspberry chocolate because itās the perfect mix of sweet and delicious. I also love that their desserts change often, at least a couple every week, so thereās always something new to try. My favorite dessert so far is their baklava cheesecake, itās seriously amazing. I like that theyāre also making those viral desserts that you see online. I even ordered a birthday cake for my brother, a big version of their Death by Chocolate cake with berries and fruits on top, and it was absolutely delicious. I would totally...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNot only are their products terrible, so is their way of conducting business. When I saw the new fruit desserts they advertised I was so excited to try them. I even invited guests to join me and boy was I embarrassed to have suggested we try it. Not only are they extremely overpriced, but they look nothing like the pictures they advertise (see attached photos!) The fruit was rotted and fermenting and the chocolate was hardening in the cup before it could be eaten.
Mistakes happen and businesses deserve honest feedback so that they can learn and do better. When I reached out to the business to inform them of our experience they blocked me! I also saw them leaving comments to customers essentially calling them liars when they shared their poor experiences as well. Do not be fooled into thinking they have all positive reviews as they apparently delete and block the reviews they donāt like. Needless to say we DO NOT recommend...
