Great Clips — Local services in Lexington

If I could give them no stars at all I would!! I’ve never had an issue with the south lake drive great clips until tonight!! I checked in online for me and my 3 kids before we got to the location. We got there and the lady asked who was all getting haircuts I said all of us as she looked at me like we were going to be the biggest inconvenience ever!! There was only one person there getting a haircut and we got there about 6:30. My daughter went back first the last started combing through her hair without even spraying water on it first and asked what she had in it because it was hard to comb through. After she made that comment she moved a few pieces of my daughters hair and saw some dandruff and told me she couldn’t cut my daughters hair because she had nits( which she did not). My daughter was so embarrassed she went and sat in the car. She went on to cut my 5 year old hair and while she did and decent job I could tell she was getting annoyed with him. One of the other lady’s ended up cutting my other child’s hair and I gave both women a $5 tip. While the other lady was cutting my last child’s hair I asked if she was going to do mine and she looked at her watch and said nope we close in 6 minutes and have to be out of here right at 7 meanwhile the other lady didn’t finish with my last child’s hair until a little after 7 which would have given the other stylist plenty of time to do mine!! I didn’t catch her name but her and April were the only two working last night and she was extremely rude and crushed my daughter after she had been so excited about getting her hair cut. I didn’t catch her name but when you walk into great clips she is at the 2nd stylist booth on the right if you are standing at the front desk when you first walk in!! Needless to say this use to be my go to spot to get my hair cut but I will take my business elsewhere thanks to her rude attitude towards me and my children and her horrible...

I went to great clips today and took my son who has gone numerous times and told the stylist to do what he normally does (it’s on his file) the only thing my son changed was no hard part. When I looked up I realized my sons hair was basically shaved, and I could tell from afar it didn’t look right & when I said something about it she said he wanted a slow fade; by that time it was already bald on the bottom half on his head. He gets “faded” frequently and never has a bald head. He looked like he was about to cry. When he was done, he looked at me and said can we please go, after getting in the car, because he wanted to go, his hair looked absolutely terrible; not faded at all; completely sloppy, strays of little hairs on his bald head, long like on the top. It looked absolutely awful & id be embarrassed to let my client walk out the way she did my child. In my opinion it seemed like she was rushing because a lot of people were waiting. I wish I would have seen what I saw when I got in the car inside; but like I said my son was horrified. We have been a regular customer for YEARS. & I will NEVER go back. I rushed him to southern gentleman’s barbershop and pleaded with them to fix the damage, to the best they could especially since it was my sons birthday tomorrow as well as picture day. And they showed out, completely astonished by what happened...

If I could give zero I would..I went in 5 months ago and Katelyn gave me the best pixie cut I showed her what I wanted and she done awesome!!! Now I went in today but Katelyn wasn't there yet and I couldn't wait til 1230 anyway I left in tears the girl butchered me and nothing like I showed her she tells me my texture is different from the picture and then tells me I should have taken a picture what Katelyn done ..ha she couldn't even go from the picture I showed her I am still crying she parted me hair in the middle.. never again I will cut my own hair..then another girl said to come back for a do over !!
