Absolutely lovely store! They helped me pick up fabric for a class I am taking when I don’t know much about fabric. Prices are very understandable, with a sliding scale for those in need, opening the arts to way more people :) They have everything under the sun; yarn, speciality fabrics, cricket machines, office supplies, colored glass, old art instruction manuals, inks and stamps, frames, art tools (needles, hooks, scissors, more specialty items I couldn’t guess the use of), beautiful glass ware and more! This is only what I can remember off the top of my head, I heard someone say in there it always seems if you think of something you want it will appear in there the next time you visit. I found some untouched specialty Japanese paper clay that I was thinking of purchasing for a while but I would have had ordered overseas! They accept donations from the community and will gladly take back gently/partially used item that you bought to use a bit of. Although this seems to be marked as only occasionally accepted (due to limited space). The only thing I warn is if you are physically disabled you may need to bring a friend or ask for help because the walking space is a bit small and the store is so full. But the owner there is super friendly! If you volunteer there they mentioned you can take a class with...
Read moreThis place is exactly what I expected from the website description! Second hand art and crafting supplies everywhere! Some of it you have to dig for, but the digging is half the fun to me. Kind of like going on a treasure hunt. They have an enormous collection of sewing patterns (vintage and new) plus quite a nice selection of cut and uncut fabrics. I also noticed a large paper crafts section and some cut glass for stained glass crafting. Everything is priced to sell on a sliding scale of "pay what you can". Kind of confusing at first, but it made sense once we got to the register. I would not recommend taking small children here as the store is very cluttered, but older kids would be fine. I also went with my friend who uses a wheel chair and she had very few issues navigating this place. If you love to craft, check this place out! I know I will...
Read moreVisiting the Creative Reuse store for the first time was the highlight of my entire weekend. Whatever kind of maker, crafter, creator you are, there is something for you. I am not a traditional "studio artist" I.E. I do not paint, sculpt, draw, etc, but I do make cards and am interested in getting back into knitting and found wonderful postcards, paper, yarn, needles, a picture frame-- all kinds of treasures. Payment is a sliding scale for affordability if needed, which made me smile. Stacy, the founder, was there when I went and she was so kind to me and clearly loves this place. Cannot wait to go again. This...
