Refused to EXCHANGE frozen food item without the receipt .. i didn't wanted money but wanted to exchange since i got 4 boxes of frozen beef nihari (opened 2 of them & had to throw 1 box away as the plastic seal packing on top of tray was opened while the cardboard box was sealed! So much for expecting a refundFor that “ .. plus they def need work on customer handling and attitude problems when dealing with a customer... store itself was great... if u need backed up customer service Sagar india market is the place .. once i got frozen prathas and they had spots on them uncle there exchanged it .. didn't even ask for the reciept... once i got flour from there but i didn't like it .. nothing was wrong with it , uncle Said no problem give it back.. numerous times got things exchanged or refunded, it was never a problem ... i once got the frozen chicken nihari from there and the second time i got it, it didnt tasted the same & uncle said take another one &if it still tastes weird return it opened and get money back !!!! Thats the kind of service u would expect at an american store ... the staff there is also always super friendly regardless !! I would rather shop there and if i cant find anything i will have the uncle there Order it for me or just live without it instead of going to apna bazar ..no im not affliated with sagar at all ...but appreciate their amazing customer service unlike apna bazaars insulting tone and talkinn like they r doing us a favor by being open... 🙄
EDIT :- I found the receipt and took it to them to exchange ... the person plain out said we cannot exchange it says on reciept ... and i told him i called and asked and he said if i dont have the receipt THEN they cant do anything!!!! So NOWWW i have the receipt but still they just wanted a way out ... I WILL NEVER EVER RECOMMEND THIS STORE THAT DOESnT CARE ONE BIT ABOUT ITS CUSTOMERS . NEEDLESS TO SAY I LEFT THE 2 BOXES WITH HIM SO THEY CAN MAKE MORE “””” MONEY”” out of it ... so im copying below whats said on the receipt
Thanks for shopping ( yeah whatever.. never coming here and telling everyone abt it) No receipt -no return and no exchange ( i had the receipt and couldnt do exchange) Return within 7 days with receipt ( i went in 5 days) No return for vegetables, frozen & kitchen utensils ( i wanted exchange and even then what abt the box already opened when i bought it ?? Never mind i was screwed anyways!) No cash refund or store credit ( i wanted exchange and that didn't happen either! You would need to take a lawyer to this place just to get stuff returned , exchanged , refunded or whatever they DO INSTEAD)
With these HITLER era Return rules you as a customer don't have any privileges... even dollar tree has amazing return policies... good luck...
Read moreIt is a pleasure to shop in this Indian store because of the polite employees, store-wide amazing aroma & mild fragrance, and pleasing ambiance. There are tons of fresh and frozen items, name-brand packets of kitchen and grocery products, and fresh items from the Indian Subcontinent, including fresh vegetables, leafy greens and fruits. I have visited many Indian 🇮🇳 stores in Texas and New York, but honestly, I can say that several items I found here in this Lexington Store are amazingly fresh and better. Prices are very, very reasonable and price tags are displayed on the items well. I am happy to shop here again and again and again by traveling several miles. I thank the owner for having the store here, and especially I appreciate the priceless manager and his team of experienced employees who have been working here for several years since I started shopping here ten years ago. I see better improvement year after years and weekly updates, which is a sign of growth. Thank...
Read moreThe guy who works there is so RUDE and not at all friendly and even smiling. Twice I was disappointed in this grocery, once when I searched for an item, I was given an EXPIRED one by that guy, and the other I bought a non-stick kitchen skillet/ tawa, it was TOTALLY STICKY, so when I returned it within 3 days with receipt, he refused to get it back (even though the item says 12 months of warranty) telling me UNKINDLY and RUDLY that they don’t have a policy to take back the kitchen items, I just LEFT the STICKY one in the store itself. That guy needs a LOT of training how to respond to the customer in a welcoming way. I don’t recommend to go...
