Lipstick on a pig. That is how I would describe my experience at the bar. While the food was delicious and the bar looks great the reason why I am rating this establishment generously with the one star is as follows. The under staffing, no management, and lack of personality with those working unless they seem to know you is absolutely the worst experience I have had in my entire life. My coworkers and I were wanting to stop and have a couple of drinks and eat some wings before heading home from work. We sit down at the table and waited 22 minutes before someone came over and asked us if we wanted a drink. We were handed dirty menus that were ripped tattered and torn shortly after the gentleman came back and asked what we wanted to drink. We ordered our drinks and checked out the paper stained torn menus. (We werenât even given enough for everyone at the table) Got our first drink, And the gentleman never asked us if we were ready to order we drink our drinks. Waited for about 10 minutes after our drinks were finished. And he finally came back and asked if we wanted another. (We were ready to order when he brought our drinks to us the first time, but he didnât have time.) So when he finally came back to ask, if we wanted a second, we said we wanted to order we ordered our food. It came to the table. It was dropped off and we were still ready for a third drink, but no one asked And they hurried away. We ate our food with nothing to drink. We were ready to go and 45 minutes later after finishing our food and no one came back to see if we were done clean the table and see if we wanted another drink. I stood up and went to the bar so we could get our tabs we all needed to go home, I stood at the bar and the two people working refused to acknowledge me Even whenever I spoke up saying I need help several times for 13 minutes. We watched a staff members went to the four tables surrounding ours and the bar and would check on everyone around us, but not us. I am from a tourist town where bars are what pays most of the people salary. Myself have been a bartender and a waitress. I know that $2.13 an hour is the standard. I normally tip 20% even when itâs poor service. My average tips are 35 to 40%. For the first time in my adult life, I was willing to walk out on a tab. In fact, me and all my coworkers had about an hour to discuss whether or not we were going to walk out. We all work in a business that is 100% commission so we understand. I finally spoke to a regular patron who got the bouncer and then got a bartender and instead of asking us how the check was split, they divided up evenly between us. This is not how we intended to pay. We didnât have time to sit there and try to figure out who owes what whoâs paying for what weâve already been there over an hour past the time that we needed to be. So I gathered everyoneâs checks took cash out of my wallet and handed it to the girl. Informed her that I needed my change immediately I didnât have any more time to wait. I told my coworkers I was paying the tab. It was up to them to leave a tip I do not feel like I got $2.13 worth of service . Feeling a little guilty about that the next day, I decided to call the bar and speak to the manager and find out who was working that day and swing by and bring them some cash. However, When when I called the bartender answered and informed me there was no manager on duty and she was super busy and the only one there and didnât have time to be on the phone. Iâm not blaming the weight staff. This is clearly poor management and ownership. Where Iâm from This bar, what with this management And this type of service wouldnât make it six months. I feel sorry for the locals who have the patron that establishment. It doesnât matter how good the food how nice the build the building Management and service is ahead of the Food and beverage industry and this place is trash. This is only the second time in my life I have ever left a bad review. Everything else is just...
Read moreReview 8.12.2025 We tried this restaurant for the first time, and the last a couple of weeks ago. I want to start with the very first impression. As we found a table and sat down both our table and my chair were not balanced so they were wobbly. My husband and I could tell this is a âregularsâ hangout. The waitress (the only one for all tables) knew many other customers by name. When she was moving, she was hustling but she would stop to chat with the âregularsâ. Our drinks ran dry more than once and it took a bit to order. They advertise âAll Day Brunchâ on the menu but when my husband ordered a Breakfast Burrito we were informed they were out of eggs, which is in all but one brunch item they offer. The menu just says âChickenâ. It does not indicate the kind of chicken, which we found out later were wings. The flavors/sauces were also not listed. After we ordered we had to wait quite a while. A guy who entered 15 mins behind us had his food before we even got our appetizer. The appetizer arrived, and as you can see by the picture, one tater skin had no topping (other than cheese).. The table two over actually ended up sending their meal back but I canât speak to why. My husband liked the flavor of his wings. My meal was much more underwhelming. I never had a Philly that I didnât like, until that visit. It was under seasoned and flavorless while the sweet potato fries were...
Read moreI liked Cocktails, itâs a calmer bar in Lexington with long hours. The food is amazing, the bartenders have always been sweet, and the prices are reasonable. Iâve been here dozens of times over the past couple years, day and night, dressed up or casual. But I was turned away for wearing sweatpants, which was a surprise since neither I nor my friends who go biweekly knew there was a dress code. Please consider posting it publicly and clearly; I canât find a dress code on your site or easily on Google. Itâs frustrating to run into unclear policies and makes me l hesitate returning or recommending the bar to friends without clear policies when you donât know if someone is going to be rejected...
