Tandoor Indian Cuisine lunch buffet 🤤 Tandoor is one of my go-to Indian restaurants in Lexington, the buffet is a great way to try a variety of dishes - they had chicken tikka masala, tandoori chicken, chicken kofta, chicken curry, saag paneer, veg korma, chicken biryani, mushroom pakora, gulab jamun, salads, chai, and a few more dishes (I can’t remember off the top of my head) in this lineup! #lexingtonkentucky #lexky #lexingtonky #indianfood #lunchideas #thingstodoinlexingtonky

One of the most "unique" dining experiences of my life. (Keep reading). My wife and I visited on the suggestion of other family members. The restaurant was very clean looking and it looks like there is a very diverse buffet when it is set up. We were seated and our drink orders were taken and immediately even though we obviously had not looked at our menu were asked if we were ready to order. We politely declined and were told he would be back. We then waited approximately 15 min for the waiter to return and when he did he asked "are you ready to order?". We said we were, he said ok and to our astonishment he collected the menus and immediately departed. We were befuddled. Soon the waiter returned and we believed he would take our order then, instead he handed us dinner plates and rushed off. My wife began laughing, we were floored. We both found the exchange incredibly amusing at first. But then after a lengthy time passed we could tell he was not going to return for our order. We then began looking for him and trying to get his attention. Thank God for Jason. Jason who wasn't assigned to her table happened by and asked if we were doing ok, we explained what happened and he immediately took our order and made sure we were taken care of. I'm still amused by when I review I won't give more stars because it's a bad experience I will never forget. But you do get more for Jason. So, I enjoyed the food myself but my wife found it to be subpar for her tastes. As stated the place was clean and looked very high brow. And the service gets a huge bump simply because of Jason.

We visited Tandoor Fine Indian Cuisine while in Lexington, KY, drawn in by the inviting ambiance and stylish interior -- definitely a highlight of the visit. The space was clean, well-lit, and even had a full bar, which added to the upscale feel. We were disappointed by the bar experience. We inquired about a basic Old Fashioned cocktail -- not on the menu, and surprisingly, not available. That response didn't inspire confidence, so we settled for Flying Horse beer instead. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the atmosphere. We ordered a chicken appetizer and veggie pakoras, both of which were bland and underwhelming. When we asked our server, Aditya, for a spicy chutney, he mentioned they didn't have any -- surprising for an Indian restaurant. He first brought raw green chilies, then eventually some siracha hot sauce. Service was friendly and the team was polite, but the food and bar offerings didn't meet expectations. With such underwhelming food and limited bar options, we didn't feel confident moving forward with a main course and decided to walk out. While the service was polite and the ambiance lovely, the overall experience was disappointing and left much to be desired.

I’ve visited Tandoor Fine Cuisine three times. My first two experiences were decent — the food tasted okay, and service was acceptable. However, my most recent visit was deeply disappointing and even alarming.

When I arrived, I noticed a clear change in attitude from the staff, particularly the waitress, who seemed visibly irritated. I was casually dressed (shirt and sandals), and I couldn’t help but feel judged or unwelcome because of it. She brought my food out in under five minutes — far too fast for a freshly prepared dish — and did so with a grumpy, dismissive attitude.

The food itself tasted off — it was completely different from what I’d had before. The meat pieces were unusually small, and the overall flavor seemed rushed or reheated, like it had been defrosted. Not long after eating, I became seriously ill. I suspect the food may not have been handled safely.

By the end of the meal, the staff seemed to realize something was wrong and apologized multiple times — which only made me more suspicious that they knew the food wasn’t right.

This experience was unacceptable. If a restaurant doesn’t want to serve someone, they should say so — not serve food that could potentially harm someone. I will be reporting this incident to the local food safety authorities.

I do not recommend this place based on my last visit. Poor treatment, questionable food, and a total disregard for...

This restaurant was a disappointing experience. Despite giving it a second chance, my recent visits left much to be desired. I ordered a variety of dishes including samosas, karahi paneer, chat, tandoori chicken, chicken vindaloo, and naan.

The Paneer Karahi was particularly disappointing, resembling more of a dish of onions with minimal paneer and capsicum, all swimming in a pool of liquid.

The Aloo Tikki Chat lacked the vibrant flavors expected from such a dish, with dry ingredients seemingly added merely for show, resulting in a lack of taste.

The Tandoori Chicken failed to live up to its name, resembling more of a simple oven-baked chicken rather than the authentic tandoori experience one would expect.

While the Chicken Vindaloo was passable, it was let down by its overly liquid consistency.

The Naan, though soft in texture, lacked flavor, rendering it quite average.

The only saving grace was the samosas, which were the sole decent item on the menu, earning a respectable 4 out of 5 rating.

Overall, the lack of consistency and quality across the menu left much to be desired.

Additionally, the exorbitant pricing coupled with the unsatisfactory attitude of the servers further detracted from the overall dining experience, amplifying the disappointment...
