Never in my life did I think I'd experience the complete hot mess I did this evening at Buffalo Wild Wings on Old Todd's Road/Man o War.
I don't have the energy to detail every issue we had, but here's a start:
Our server delivered half the drinks (waters and sodas) we ordered to our a party of 8, and then disappeared from our table. He continued to serve other tables and the host came and took over our table. The host was an individual I'd met once through a friend, I don't even know his name. I assumed he was trying to help out maybe due to this as we'd spoken on the prior meeting. When asked what happened to our server, we were told he had a headache and needed some medicine. Whattttt? He was still serving other tables??
After one issue after another and another etc...even with the host trying his best to host and serve our table, and a failed attempt to get a 10 year olds meal delivered from the manager who said "we're on a 45 minute kitchen wait" instead of getting that on the fly... I finally approached the drink station where our original server and another server were standing to ask for drinks refills. We had received zero!
I say, "Hi y'all can we please get drink refills at our table? It's been a really rough evening of service for us and we just need one refill each."
The original server says... "No I left y'all's table because that guy on the corner in the gray was rude to me." I had never met "the guy on the corner" as this was my inlaws relative, until this evening, so I thought oh man maybe he was... I asked what was said.
This is where is gets good. No bad. No just insane!!! This young man says, "I mean he could see my hands were full and he was like we also need these drinks and these drinks and some straws too please!"
I wish I'd thought to look for the hidden cameras and TV show crew but it wouldn't have mattered because this was for real... I said, "I'm sorry are you saying he asked you to do your job and said please?!" He said it was about the tone.
I asked how long he's been a server, he claimed 3 months.I was absolutely shocked. Even if someone was "rude" to him, he was completely ignorant on how to deal with it if so. I told him that wasn't close to the worst thing I'd heard as a server in my past. He said, even the host said, "Well that's just how he is." As mentioned earlier, I'd met the host ONE time and he'd never met the individual he supposedly spoke on!! It was just ridiculous.
The manager was completely lost in the whole situation. She had zero clue what had been going on. She offered $20 off the bill. What a joke? My brother in law insisted paying the majority of the bill but I stopped him from paying it all because we hadn't received everything on the bill!!!! And we were charged for things not even ordered. I can't wait to hear back from corporate. I already filled out the form online.
Oh the real icing on the cake came with the completely useless security guard who was leaning on a divider the whole time. He should have at least been refilling drinks. Apparently a gun went off in the restaurant a week or so ago. No one was shot. So having a useless security guard there just makes sense, right?! Wrong!
Absolutely insane. How is this place still open?
Save yourself and go to Roosters down on Richmond Rd or the...
Read moreWhen we first arrived we were told there was a 20 minute wait but it took 40 minutes to get a table while there were multiple tables open that were never sat at for the entire 2 hours we were there. Our server, Miquella(might be spelled wrong), was very inattentive to us and acted as if she would rather be anywhere else. She never checked on us to see if we need anything, when we told her about the problems with our food all she did was look at us as if it was the biggest inconvenience possible and said “okay”. We had to wave her down anytime we needed anything as simple as a refill and when we asked for one she said they were out of cups even though we watched someone go and refill the station not even 10 minutes before. She got the table behind us their drinks and once again, disappeared for awhile, while we were still waiting on our refills. We ordered drinks and it took her over 30 minutes to get them to us and it was obvious that they had been sitting there for a very long time because the ice was basically gone. She couldn’t care less about anything we told her. When our appetisers came out we had to send our chips and queso back because it was cold, we would have sent our mozzarella sticks back as well because those were cold too but we were too hungry and needed something. For some reason our burger came out along with the appetisers before anyone else’s food and it was as well, cold. That wasn’t even the worst part about it - there was a hair in the fries and the burger was raw. When the rest of our food came out, cold, we were still missing one of our entrees and our server did not tell us anything about it, such as it was still working or she was going back to get it, nothing. We didn’t even realise it was missing for a good 5 minutes. We had to go up to a whole different server at one point just to ask about where that missing entree was because it was rare to see our server let alone get anything from her all night. As well as we had to go up to the host to tell him about the cold appetiser and the raw burger with the hair. The manager tried to appease us by saying the burger would be taken off our bill but when we got our checks it was still on there and we had to, again like with anything else, track her down to ask for our checks first and then tell her about the mistake. When we went to the bathroom, the men’s was completely out of paper towels and the women’s was shockingly disgusting. There was poop smeared all over the walls in 1 stall, there was pee all over the walls and floor in the second stall, and with the only kind of clean one there was a long line of women waiting to use it. To top things off floor underneath our table was covered in trash and old food. I talked to the manager about what happened and he was very kind to take care of our meal but this experience was beyond words. Half of us at the table are servers ourselves and can understand an off day here and there but this was just baffling and awful. There was not a single positive thing about coming here and we left so disgusted and disappointed that we even wanted to go there in the...
Read moreLet me start this review by saying I have been a long time Buffalo Wild Wings fan. I have loved their food since my first visit, and in fact, for a long time it was my favored special occasion meal restaurant. However, this is my break up letter. My husband and I waited at the hostess station for a reasonable amount of time, we were greeted by a less than enthused hostess... Who chose to show up to work in sweatpants and a ratty jersey. You know it's going to be an interesting experience when you show up to a place of business feeling over dressed in jeans and a sweatshirt. Anyway, we were greeted by a woman who looked like she just rolled off her sofa and was upset that we knocked on her door. We asked nicely for a booth - because we have an infant in her car seat. Never making eye contact, she mumbled something and walked away. Assuming she was walking us to our table, we followed. Oh no, this young lady did not want us to follow her, and her look of disgust to people who had been nothing but kind to her, let us know. Never in my life have I felt so incredibly unwelcome in a restaurant. So we finally get to our table, which did turn out to be a booth, and this woman comes back to wipe down our table.... Apparently she had sat us at a dirty table. This could be over looked if she hadn't been so incredibly rude to me and my family. Our waitress came to take out order and the meal proceeded as usual. However on this momentus occasion, our appetizer failed to make an appearance. Which again, usually not a big deal... But our waitress mentioned she talked to a manager about it, and ....that was the end of that sentence/conversation. The wings were good, a little slow coming out, but the quality was still fine. My arguement, and reason for the breakup, is because wings are not rare or hard to come by. There is plenty of competition in your market, Bdubs. You're failing. Not because of the quality of your food, but the complete lack of customer service, the atrocious lack of professionalism shown by your employees and the overall lack of respect for yourself as a restaurant. You're buffalo wings and menu are not enough to differentiate you from the other wing restaurants out there. So, this is where we have...
