The Lionier Country Farmers Market is hands down one of the best markets in Pennsylvania and it has become my go-to destination every Saturday during the summer. The market offers a wide array of amazing food options, with excellent grilled cheese from the Pickled Shef and varieties of mushrooms from Real Fungi being my personal favorites. Read moreThere are many vendors here, though a large proportion are not farmers. There are many crafts, distilleries, cider, mead, candles, cheese, beef, flowers and plants. There is also a children's area where they grow pumpkins, flowers, etc. They do crafts and activities as well. It is expensive, like most farmers markets. Parking is tricky but they have added a shuttle bus and the driver is funny and talkative. We had to park at the school, but the bus is pretty quick. My son and I opted for the freshly baked bread. My sister-in-law and her grandma picked out some perennials for the garden. There was fresh produce everywhere. We stopped for some Amish donut holes that were phenomenal. I watched the gals in the back making them, which was such a fun experience.
My brother waited in the longest line for the Amish flower bouquet. Wow!!! Was it worth it. That was worth it. I posted a photo of the bouquet because for $20 my sis-in-law purchased something fit for a wedding....
