It was the night of the street market. They were not prepared for a crowd at all. They told the three of us who only ordered hoagies that it would be 45 mins. We waited 1 hour and 30 mins when I finally asked if they were done and she (I believe the owner) was looking for my receipt in a mess of receipts on a table in no proper order. They never even started the order. We just got our money back. As I sat at the table and observed people talking to the gentleman sweating over the pizza dough I realized he was taking care of his regular customers first. You will keep busy maybe but you won't get any new business or any good reviews that way. He also left in the middle of that nightmare with a hoagie he made wrapped up in foil and I hope not to eat because that would've been a d* move on his part because they were drowning!!! She gave people their money back left and right due to the waiting. Too bad we didn't get to try the food and now probably never will due to that...
Read moreI've been here a handful of times since Roman's opened in the new location and while pricey, the food was at least served in reasonable portions and well made. Unfortunately, things have changed.
I visited a few days ago, and ordered a slice of White Pizza and a piece of the tiramisu. The tiramisu was tiny as well, and at a price tag of over five dollars you might say I was disappointed. Glancing at the counter before I left, I noticed that the cheesecake was sliced into smaller portions as well. You might fool tourists, but locals such as myself will quickly pick up on the fact that you are trying to snow us. Very unsatisfied, and I won't be back since this establishment has taken a miserly and greedy turn with...
Read moreFantastic pizza & salads, wings plus so much more. This pizza is called THE MAMMOUTH and it is probably the best pizza I've ever had. Believe me, I know pizza.... I'm a South Jersey girl.
This is a must try! Our thanks to Justin whom we encountered while we were seeking a great place to eat. He was in fact walking up the hill with a pizza box. They are super generous with the toppings too. The setting is warm and inviting. This eatery is tucked into a little strip. There are trees with lights leading the way.
Finally, Roman's is impeccably clean. All the tables, bathroom and the food preparation area were constantly being cleaned. The night we came to eat, Roman's was just closing. The owners advised us to stay as long as we wished so we could finish our chat. Such lovely people. I love supporting...
