My wife and I have loved stopping here for years on our frequent excursions to Ligonier. We love the bar and enjoy playing darts. We have noticed on multiple occasions that some of your staff frequently wear politically charged t-shirts. I am of the opinion that the workplace, especially one in the service industry, is no place for political discourse no matter which side you are on. If you choose to allow your employees to wear politically suggestive t-shirts, understand that you may be alienating some of your customer base. What I found particularly offensive today was the misogynistic and disrespectful language on the t-shirt one of your employees was wearing. His t-shirt said “Joe and the Ho got to go”. While I understand that you are a bar, you are also a family center that has children in to your restaurant and bowling alley. At one point when I was there a parent complained about the offensive lyrics being played on the jukebox and the music was muted. How is this any different? Dress codes in the workplace are not protected under the first amendment. You as employer have the right to limit the type and suggestive nature of what your employees wear.Suffice it to say, we will...
Read moreMy wife and stopped in for lunch on a "Taco Tuesday" in Feb 24 and had a great time. Tacos were excellent as was the bartender. Stopped in yesterday (7/7/24) around 5 PM for some beers and dinner. Menu had just about every item listed as "MP" aka market price. I'm not going to ask the bartender the price on every item I might think I want and not going with the unknown "MP" particularly when some things are rather pricey in my opinion. The very pleasant bartender said they were doing that as prices were fluctuating quite a bit which I find odd. I was in the food business for about 10 years back in the late 70's through mid 80's so am familiar with buying/provisioning such a business. If suppliers are vacillating that widely on food prices something isn't right as the post-pandemic inflation has largely calmed down. Either way I just passed on ordering and don't seeing us coming back until I can look at an item and know what I'm paying without playing a game of 27 questions. We typically eat out 1-2 days per week usually at our favorites of Hotel Loyal and Speals Tavern and both places have prices for menu items listed as one...
Read moreA group of friends and I went to the wicked Googly this weekend. From the time we walked in the door and went to the bar the one bar tender was extremely rude. She told us that she could only give us one beer at a time. We were just trying to eliminate going to the bar as much as they were super busy & we were trying to bowl. Fine, we understood. We eventually went up to order pizza, and asked about the party special and she stated that was something we had to make arrangements for in advance, no one said that when we called but we understood. She told us it would be at least an hour for our two pizzas. Almost two hours went by until we got them. People who came after us, had gotten their food prior to us. No one came to check on us, or kept us posted regarding our pizzas. As the night went on, people were leaving the bar with more than one beer at a time. At one point a woman walked past us with about 6 beers in her hands. We were nothing but nice to this bartender and she was rude to our entire group of people. All of us being...
