If you plan to play the PAR 3, read this before wasting your time.
On Labor Day, myself and 3 others went to play the par 3. All of us have played full 18-hole rounds before — we are not amateurs. We simply wanted to play a quick round before lunch and chose the par 3 for its convenience. Right away, Pat at the front desk told us we “didn’t have enough clubs” (we had 4 total). Nowhere is it posted that each player must have 2 clubs, and instead of being upfront about this so-called policy (which we would’ve respected, even after driving 40 minutes), he let us through anyway. To make matters worse, he even told us, “If you guys take too long I’m gonna come out there and get you off the course.” Not exactly a welcoming start.
If we had been told upfront, we would’ve just left — not wasted nearly an hour playing only to be kicked off at the 4th hole. We were not slowing play at all — we were waiting at each hole for the two groups in front of us to finish, never took more than 5 minutes to play each hole ourselves, and actually waited 15 minutes on the first hole, 20 on the second, and another 15 on the third. Yet an older gentleman stopped us mid-round to suddenly enforce this “rule.” Meanwhile, we saw multiple groups of 4–5 people sharing fewer than 4 clubs, kids under 15 hitting wildly, and everyone waiting extended amounts of time. The course itself was poorly maintained and poorly managed.
If they’re going to enforce a so-called “pace of play rule,” then there should also be rules against unattended children, kids under 10 learning to swing a club for the first time, and kids hitting balls into the woods and taking 10 minutes to collect them. But instead of addressing the actual causes of slow play, they targeted a group of adults who were playing quickly and respectfully.
When we asked for a refund, Pat was rude and dismissive but gave us a full cash refund for all four players — even though their own sign says no cash refunds. Clearly, they knew they were in the wrong.
Following this incident, we read multiple reviews where others were also mistreated by the so-called “manager” Pat. That is not something a small business should allow or enforce. A small business should never treat paying customers this way. If this place actually cared about “golf etiquette,” they’d enforce rules consistently, maintain their course, and train staff to be upfront instead of wasting customers’ time.
Absolutely not worth it. Save yourself the frustration and go to...
Read more0 stars if I could. Came to celebrate the day off with the family on the par 3 course and we brought a few clubs to hold over the family. We were told at the beginning by a very hostile man that we each had to have our own clubs since it was busy, understandable, but we questioned why? We were given the explanation by Pat “if you hold everyone up, we are kicking you off the course”. Wow that was so rude, and this brought bad vibes to our first tee. He didn’t even like tell us a reason, that’s the frustrating part lol.
We were waiting behind 3 groups and waited our turn where we played the first hole in 2 minutes, then continued waiting. Made it to the tee box of the 4th where we were approached by the manager? He told us we all needed to have at least 2 clubs and we needed to come in and pay for them. Again we asked why? “Just the rules” what rules lol?? Where is this posted?
We were thrown off since we were not holding up the pace of play and we were just trying to get past the bad taste Pat left in our day.. we just asked for a refund. The ladies at the front were giving us passes to come back, absolutely not after this hostile experience to 20 year olds. We were told by pat that it was “golf etiquette” even though there were 10 year olds alone with 1 club each wacking balls everywhere. Would not recommend this golf course to anyone due to the rude staff and hostile people. Please train your staff to make everything cohesive and be less hostile to your customers. We decided to go to top golf afterwards and...
Read moreMy family and I went on Memorial Day and it wasn't that busy. The man behind the desk was so rude and insisted everyone have their own putter (there were 5 of us) we brought 2, so he made us rent 3 putters. Not a big deal but it was unnecessary for us to carry around extra clubs since we also brought our own Wedge clubs. Initially, the starter guy was very friendly and let 5 of us go together although the rules state parties of 4 only. As we were playing we had to wait for the person in front of us who was taking a long time, the starter came over and said he was going to let a group of two go ahead of us because of our group. We explained that we explained to him that the person in front of us was holding us up and his attitude immediately changed and he got sarcastic with us saying that's why they only let parties of 4 go. This was my first and probably last time playing chip n putt there. Really disappointed with their...
