Salty Dog Hound Lounge — Local services in Lincoln City

We are currently staying with family for a month in Lincoln City with my Standard Poodle pup. Being a water dog, he LOVES the ocean and the beach. Being a show pup, he's in a full continental cut, meaning lots of hair that requires maintenance, especially when mixed with salt and sand. Plus, I am not so fond of how he smells after a week or so of twice daily beach time. That's where the Salty Dog Hound Lounge comes in! There self service dog wash is AMAZING! For just $15, I have access to all the supplies I could need to properly groom my pup, getting him nice and squeaky clean. The facility was clean, the staff was friendly, and the supplies provided were excellent. Theres a walk in tub with stairs, a big grooming table, also with stairs and a grooming arm, a nice high velocity dryer, as many towels as one could use, and an array of brushes. Unlike other places, I have never been rushed to hurry up and finish my grooming, nor have they kicked me out due to exceeding a "reasonable" time in their opinion. They have been nothing but kind and helpful. The only thing I'd like to see improved was more options for shampoo and conditioner. We had to be in Lincoln City last-minute and needed a place to board our dog for the night. After reading the great reviews, we decided to call and are SO happy that we did. The girl I spoke to on the phone was beyond nice and very helpful. They were incredible flexible with the drop-off time (anytime before 5) and let me bring my dog's own bed and food. Liza helped me when I dropped Roadie off and was so, so nice!! My son loved her and our dog warmed right up to her. She came out and sat on the floor with him and gave him a chance to warm up- then walked right through the door with her! There is NO dog smell when you enter and our dog came back clean, happy and smelling WONDERFUL. They obviously give each dog lots of attention and love. I moved here a year and a half ago and needed to find a place to board my "main man and permanent squeez, Burley Boy"! I picked Salty Dog Hound because of the great reviews and I am not disappointed! In fact I'm so over the top about this place that I want everyone to know how FABULOUS this place is. Burley is an "old soul" who needs to be loved and feel secure. I've boarded him here 4 times and I feel 100% confident that he is being cared for just as I would. They send me videos of him playing with other dogs-they not only care for my dog but me too!!
