The good: Tons of stuff to see, you could spend a very long time trying to go through it all. The owner is extremely friendly and welcoming. Many genuinely interesting and eclectic finds you won't see other places. Owner is willing to negotiate on prices.
The bad: Way too much stuff packed too close. I hate putting it this way, but it's basically a hoarder's storage facility. Getting around inside is difficult, narrow walking paths, some passages were so narrow we didn't even attempt them. There are corners of the store you literally can't get to at all because there's literally no way to reach them. Similarly, the upper rafters of the larger storage building are jammed with stuff but there's no way up there. I'm guessing we traversed as much of the store are possible and saw maybe 25-30% of what's actually there? There are two cats with the run of the place, and it smells like it, but they're friendly. Prices are, considering the environment, often quite high, but not always.
We bought a couple of items (negotiated down), and I wouldn't be afraid to recommend to friends for the experience, but know what you're...
Read moreStinks horribly. Dangerously bad. Felt physically ill in the short time I spent browsing. All of the items would need vigorously cleaned to even be considered usable. Prices were high on most of everything, but the owner was a friendly man. The putrid stench of cat hits you before you even open the front door. Three cats are just allowed to parade all over the building. Narrow walkways and items piled ceiling high make it impossible to see even a small portion of the items he has available; there is massive piles of merchandise that have toppled over and now make walking the few available narrow paths even more difficult. This building is a grade A fire hazard and you are unable to even look at most of the wares he has for sale. While in there, I could easily spot a dozen empty cat food cans and inconveniently placed bowls of cat food slurry, but I did not see a single litter box. Lots of interesting items, but only if youre willing to put your lungs at risk for the thick, cloying scent of urine. Be warned before you enter; and bleach...
Read moreOwner was extremely friendly, The place is absolutely packed full of stuff. Some people don’t like that, but to me that is how it should be. It’s a treasure hunt! And boy did I leave with some good stuff that I was very happy with and happy with the price. I paid with some sticky hundred dollar bills, The owner being the trustworthy guy that he was just took my money and didn’t go through it Right there in front of me. Once he did, he realized that I had paid him $100 too much but I was already gone. Through random conversation, we were having while shopping he learned the business that I own, And the next day there he was with my extra hundred dollars to give it back to me. Absolutely blew my mind, Shows the character of this gentleman, And he gained a lifetime, customer and supporter. I highly recommend going for a treasure hunt...
