Iâve been going to LFG for years off and on and have always had pleasant experiences with staff and the facility, until recently. I try to go to the southeast location as much as I can since itâs a little bigger and I prefer the rooms/equipment there. Lately, Iâve run into the same employee multiple times and had terrible interactions each time. I believe his name is Pat, heâs a middle aged gentleman who usually works the front desk. Every time Iâve approached the desk, even just to check in and buy a water, Iâm made to feel incredibly inconvenient; even when the gym is empty.
My most recent experience was to sign my partner up and be added to my membership. There were hardly any people around and I had asked him how long it usually takes to sign up for a couples membership. He said ânot long.â with a rather short cadence/tone, and no follow up. I asked if we could do it real quick on our way in and he responded âyeah, when I have time.â Again, still being short with us in an almost empty gym. We waited a few minutes and he gathered the paperwork, went through the motions, and told us we could go. We walked away realizing we didnât get a scan card and I went back to ask if my partner needed one. He said âyeah, he does.â With nothing afterwards. I paused and asked if we could get one, and again he said âwhen I have time.â I said okay maybe we can grab it on the way out, and he went âif I have time to make one, yeah.â We did not get a scan card. It was passive aggressive, it felt disrespectful, and there was something to be said about turning off customers from the gym itself; which is unfortunate because we love this facility.
This is not the first time Iâve had an unpleasant interaction with this GLF employee, and I dread the idea of going to work out and knowing thereâs a possibility heâs working and then needing something while Iâm there. I hate to be the person who leaves a review, I just canât find contact information for the owner/manager on the website...

My wife signed up for a three months deal and clarified at sign up if she would need to cancel her membership as our baby was due near the end of the three months - she was told her membership would expire and not need to be actively cancelled. Fast forward three months - have the babyâŚcontinue seeing charges on our joint account for additional months of membership.
My wife calls - âthe manager will call youâ - no call. This happened several times with no response and they refused to give my wife an email address until I talked to a front desk worker myself. Sent an email.
Manager finally responds - âownership will contact youâ - no response - and charges continue. âLet us check your contractâ - magically could not locate her contract. Screams poor organization, management and business ethics to me.
Opened a dispute with our bank as Goodlife refused to make it right and refund the money. Our bank was able to get back half the funds that were stolen. Goodlife continued to refuse to make it right. Still have not made it right.
We are owned $90ish - and you might be thinking âits $90, whatâs the big dealâ - the big deal is $90 doesnât appear in your bank account magically, you work several hours for your $90 - so Goodlife not only stole our money, but also...
Read moreYou have my vote 100 percent for 'Best Place to Feel the Burn' category in Lincoln Choice Awards 2024! I have tried other gyms in LNK, and by far you're at the TOP of my list when it comes to getting BACK in shape. The facility (SE LNK location) is very spacious with plenty of manual and machine weights, cardio equipment, etc. I clean for an income, so I notice CLEAN when I see it, which Good Life definitely is. The locker room is always attended to as well as the gym as a whole. You provide top notch customer service, starting with an old school handwritten welcome via post office and a warm greeting every time I walk in. Very pleasant. I am enjoying my membership and extras (locker/towel rental, tanning) and ALWAYS feel better arriving/leaving Good...
