Usually, I have a great experience here. Today was far different. I came in today at about 6:30 pm to purchase a pillow. I got what I was looking for and proceeded to the west checkout. As I approached I saw an employee discussing kohlâs cash with a customer near the customer service desk. There were no cashiers present at any registers, so I kind of held back for a few moments thinking she might head up there. After a minute or 2 I approached and asked if check out was moved to the customer service area and got an annoyed response of âWell, yeah, because SOMEONE is training and I have to deal with issuesâ... kind of a sour response in front of customers. Another lady approached as I asked from the out doors with a return and gave me the âyikesâ face with her response and then tells me I can go ahead of her as we kind of arrived to the line at the same time once I realized that was, indeed, the checkout. We both stand in the area behind the line as another woman is trying to make an Amazon return and is confused how to do so. The woman behind the counter is very short with her and tells her she needs to have a QR code and get it figured out through Amazon before she will deal with her and that she needs to move aside until she does. She then walks to her right to another register to help the next customer. I walk up and she tells me âIâm pretty sure she (pointing to lady who told me I could go ahead) was next.â Woman behind me tells her that she let me know I arrived before her and to go ahead. Meanwhile, nice lady behind me helps first woman with her Amazon app to help her find how to make the return. Cashier says âfine, buy or return?â I respond âbuyâ. I run my card and she says âdo you need a bag- not like it would fit anywayâ I respond âno thank youâ and move along.
What in the world happened to customer service? I have worked customer service my entire life. I understand being frustrated at times, but this was plain rude. The younger gal in charge of âtrainingâ should not be training if thatâs her attitude. And I was absolutely shocked to see someone middle aged+ so upset with someone for not understanding how to get a QR code. It wasnât closing time, there wasnât a long line, there was nothing for either of these women prompting their impatience. I still have 4 stars because every other time I have been there I have had a great experience, but I hope that with the times and day I state this you can narrow down these employees who clearly need some more training on customer service.
Iâm hoping the receipt will give you enough info to at least have a conversation with this employee. If I hadnât had so many good experiences in the past at this location I would...

For 1 we got followed around the store for absolutely no reason ( we are black ) we had no bags I didnât even have my purse so following us around the store was definitely a Reach âŚ. I ignored it because Im here shopping and I have money so I wasnât bothered .they followed us around for 40mins even tho it was a group of teenagers (white) (13-19) running in the aisles and putting things in there pockets but yet they focused on me and my husbandâŚ. Cool we get to the register and check out ( I spent 500$ on toys ) BIG toys , a Barbie dream house and some other big toys that thereâs no way you could steal unless your just a fool ⌠I check out and leave and as Iâm going I see the police circling the parking lot ⌠I get in my car pull off then Iâm pulled over and drug out of my car with all my toys etc on the side of the road because kohlâs called the police cause they thought I was gonna steal ??!!!! HOW !!! I was so hurt and embarrassed as a hard working black women to be racially profiled I literally had to show them my receipts and every little item on the side of the road as if Iâm a criminal or something smh ⌠the least the person could have done was call the cops back and say hey I was wrong they didnât steal .. smh IM BLACK AND YOU COULD HAVE GOT ME OR MY HUSBAND SERIOUSLY HURT BY A COPâŚ..    Read moreAwful experience today. The cashier would not let me use the $10 off Back to School items because she said there wasn't enough "back to school" stuff. Even though I had $117.00 as a total. And I had more then enough back to school items, multiple shirts, sun glasses, etc. She also voided my transactions twice do to her error and then had a manager come up who also couldn't figure out my transaction and at the end of it all they charged me twice and voided it twice, however the voided transactions don't come off for 24-48 hours so then I have two pending charges on my acct for stuff I didn't even purchase. What a very disappointing day and the cashier was very rude. I will not be back to this store. I called corporate and they handled the situation and she told me it was an error from the cashier and gave me an additional $20.00 off. I will not be back to the Lino Store. Awful experience. Maybe work more on customer service instead of replying "I don't know why it's not working and no you cant use that" worst experience I've ever had back to...
