I don't write many reviews, but I am so incredibly impressed by Domestic Domestic that I had to give them a shout out.
I came to discover Domestic Domestic almost a year ago through their amazing deals on Vuori clothing, but over the past year have discovered other high quality brands through this small business in Arkansas. Not only do they sell high quality items, but they also sell a lot of fun, quirky items perfect to give as gifts that are bound to make people laugh and brighten up people's days. They have the absolute best sales and discounts on high quality merchandise!
But what I truly love about this small business is the service and culture, which you can feel through their website and social media pages. They always ship orders within a few hours (and often times within the hour!) of the order being placed, and items are consistently delivered to me here in California in 2-3 days after I've placed my order (super fast shipping that big retailers can't match!). Not only that, but that type of shipping is free??? Over the past year, I must've placed at least 20-25 orders with them, and it's always been the same great service and speedy delivery. It's absolutely mind-boggling! Furthermore, I can attest they are always very kind and prompt in their messages sent to their customer service, and I love how they promote inclusivity as part of their identity.
I am very pleased to support this small business in Arkansas all the way out here in California and would love drop by the store and meet the people there if I'm ever near Little Rock, Arkansas. Until then, I absolutely love this business for their amazing products, incredible discounts, and outstanding customer service. Please support this wonderful business and the beautiful souls that...
Read moreTerrible service! If customer service is important to you then avoid Domestic Domestic. I ordered a pair of Chippewa Boots online for a hiking trip. When they arrived they came in the wrong size and color. I returned the boots and reordered the correct size and color again. I was assured the boots would arrive before my trip. Needless to say they arrived a day late making them unnecessary to have. I most likely would have kept them but they also came in the wrong color the second time. I requested another return. When my credit finally arrived I realize they charged me $15 for returning the incorrectly shipped boots. When I called to ask why I was charged $15 for boots that didn't arrive on time as promised and the incorrect color I spoke to Heather Smith. She seemed unconcerned, rude and argumentative. She kept snickering at my concern, cutting me off while talking, and gave no resolution. When I asked for a supervisor she hung up on me. I called back and she hung up again. After waiting some time I called again and got Heater once again. She informed me she was the owner and she will never give back my return shipping charge. I don't usually make an effort to review a site but I found the whole experience so upsetting and frustrating I wouldn't want others to have similar experiences. I work very hard like most people so when I pay $259 for boots I expect great and accurate service. And if there is a mistake in shipping I can understand but I do not expect the owner to be rude while I address my concerns. My advise is to look elsewhere for products offered on this...
Read moreCustomer service and communication is lacking.
I ordered a pair of Red Wing boots. I already have a pair of Red Wings so I ordered the same size thinking they would be similar. I was wrong, the pair I ordered was too big. My intention was to exchange the boots and I used the Domestic Domestic return/exchange website to request the exchange for a smaller size. After filling out the website I received an automated reply that the size I wanted wasn't in stock and I should pick another similar product. I emailed Domestic Domestic (Heather) to notify them that I was only interested in the boot I ordered and if an exchange wasn't available I would like to return them. The reply I received was from Heather and said "I am processing this now". At this point, I figured I needed to look elsewhere for the boots I wanted so I drove to the local Red Wing dealer and special ordered the boots. Soon after purchasing the boots locally, I received an automated email from Domestic Domestic informing me that my order had been completed for the smaller size boot. Huh? I then called Domestic Domestic and spoke to Heather asking her what was going on. She informed me that they get stock regularly and would have the boots soon. I told her that in our correspondence nothing even hinted at this option and I had thus special ordered locally. She said that was fine, but I would have to pay the restocking fee. This communication screw up wasn't on me and I would have gladly kept my business with Domestic Domestic. They refuse to waive the restocking fee....
