On Friday, February 16th, after my girlfriend and I finished our Valentines Day date dinner, we decided to enjoy a hot beverage (a coffee drink of some sort). But we decided that we wanted to try a new place, that was not a big nationally recognized chain business, a place that was locally owned and operated. We found River City Coffee by way of Google....what else..?? lol.. It's a small place, and it was dark, but we found it. And we were so very happy & pleased that we did! We loved the eclectic art and decor of the place. We were comfortable and enjoyed our beverages, and our time in this local establishment. Seth was the employee that took care of us that night. Seth was a very personable, friendly, and professional guy. And he knew what he was doing when it came to making our drinks. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our visit to this local business. Read moreRiver City is the actual best coffee place in the entire tri-city area and I'm not one to say that lightly. Not only is the coffee and tea always amazing and delicious, there's a ton of options, and the staff are so kind in a way you don't often see often these days.
For example, my car broke down in front just today and not only did they go out of their way to try and find me someone to help me jumpstart it, they even helped me find a charger for my phone and hung out with me until I was able to get outside assistance.
They're always so kind and genuine and host the best poetry meeting days in town. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed, like hanging out at one of your favorite friend's house, with an eclectic style and a ton of records to choose from and play, as well as board games and a variety of comfy, fun seating on various couches and chairs to nestle up with something warm and delicious to drink. I cannot recommend them enough...

they use coffee ice cubes too, if that's your thing. i also was hoping they'd have a few more food/snack options, but maybe i just came too late in the day.
the barista who helped me was polite. the one who came in to switch shifts with her was pretty chatty with the customers, which i think is always a sign of a good cafe! again, the atmosphere was super chill and you definitely get a sense that they've built a little community there,...
