Maxwell Smart Computer Repair — Local services in Little Rock

My experience at Maxwell Smart was cordial. The brother treats you like family from the moment you walk in the door. I've read several of the reviews on here...and it is my opinion that some people may be misconstruing Mr. Maxwell's reception of his customers. I got a strong feel of the aura of your traditional 'mom-and-pop shop' treatment from Mr. Maxwell that you don't get to experience much anymore with everyone feeling they have to be so politically correct. I do not consider it at all 'unprofessional' the way Mr. Maxwell operates his own business. I enjoy his conversation and his joviality. He is a positive person and has good energy. My experience with his service has been exemplary each of the two times that I have entrusted computer repairs to him. With my last experience, I told Mr. Maxwell, myself, that I believed that my power port or computer jack, whichever is the correct reference, was shorting out or faulty. He quoted me $80 to fix it and an eta of Monday. I dropped it off on a Saturday. I called Saturday morning. Mr. Maxwell informed me that my computer was ready to be picked up, and that, he did not, in fact, have any problem with the jack. He said that he power cord that he was using plugged up and charged the computer fine. When I got to his shop, I showed him my power cord, and he immediately recognized a small cut in my power cord that was certain to be the reason for the short. He adjusted my price to $40 for the power cord he sold me and we went on to share intelligence about our mutual love and intrigue with Black History! Mr. Maxwell...we got your back. You are only human, and it is understood that you can't satisfy everyone. There will always be an unsatisfactory experience with any business. As-Salaamu...

Went in to get a quote. he started asking me about my ancestry -. When you are mixed you have family with all shades of colors. Very disrespectful to read a book by its cover. I guess he was trying to teach me about black people Truth is I am black and white proud of my family.

And yes I did READ Him this doesn't make me feel proud - I am just human

When I read the reviews I can't believe others have seen the same bad - disrespectful - dirty in and out the business You would have never guessed it from driving by the building on Baseline Road several times a day

But let's get back to the business. I made the stop at his business for a quote. And I never received a quote.

I come from family black owned business in Helena. I am 55.

I see why people don't go to black business. They forget how to give respect to their customer First thing I noticed was a dirty parking lot with two old van with the company logo One with the window out. Walking in I noticed him is eating. Never made me fill safe or welcome or said Welcome to my business.

If he had just answered my questions - this low rate and review would not be here Another thing I have a BA from philander Smith and a MA from Webster university.

Why do my black business owner have to be so unprofessional. Next time if you do nothing else please make your customer fill welcome as well as safe when they take their time to walk into your business

Scammed me out of 540$. He ordered the cheapest screens online then lies and toes me that he ordered the best quality material screen for my phone. The screen he bought didn’t even fit my phone so if I hold my phone upright, the screen slides off the top he decided instead of replacing it, and fixing his mistake, he gave me a miniature screwdriver and told me to keep my phone laying down when I use it and if it comes off again to just use the baby screwdriver to push it back in and basically for me to just wiggle it a little bit. I’m not a Phone Repair woman why do I need a baby screwdriver , why should I have to pay so much money for a actually $60 screen that I could’ve bought myself at this point . I wish I could give him zero stars and then weeks go by and he contacts me and tries to convince me to give him 300 more dollars so that he can order a different screen from one of his friends OK but what happened to the first screen I feel like as much money as I paid for the first screen. He should’ve took the screen back and got the correct size.. For sure go to the phone place that is at bass pro shop shopping center because they will get the job done correctly...
