I never leave reviews but this is actually necessary. This was my first and definitely last time ever going to the Electric Cowboy. My friends and I love dancing and socializing, but unfortunately this was not the spot for it. While being there, the employees were not friendly and as a new clientele, asking questions was apparently not okay. The DJs (specifically the girl with dark hair, skinny, and eyelash extensions) was very rude when we requested one line dance song ( Flex by Cupid, very popular). Mind you this is our first time and we are excited and hopeful to be in the atmosphere. Most places that we go to are very kind about requesting songs (regardless if they allow it or not). The DJs (or should I say Aux people because apparently it is a corporate playlist and they have no control over music as if it’s not 2024 and music is easy to search) were very hostile, to my friends and I (who politely asked about songs) when we asked for a certain song they said “It’s a corporate playlist, we play what we Have”. Which is very understandable but the tone and body language of the girl was very disrespectful and unprofessional. I asked what the process of requesting popular songs looked like and out of no where the girl that I mentioned before said was told “we play what we play and if you don’t like it you can tell the assistant manager”. I kindly mentioned that I was having a conversation with the other work, a man (who was actually polite) and said “I am talking to him, you weren’t up here” and she rudely replied with “I left to say bye to a friend” (why was leaving to socialize on the job acceptable?). Regardless, I don’t feel as if Electric Cowboy is a place for people who are looking for dancing, line dances, modern music, and diversity. I don’t typically say or experience this, but it was giving prejudice vibes. Only caters to one specific demographic. Go to Brewskis or Discovery, I wish we would’ve...
Read moreI visited the Electric Cowboy for the first time today around 1am and had such an unpleasant experience. When we first arrived, we parked and were getting our things together to go inside and the police instantly rides up to our car shining his light telling us to get out our vehicle and go inside. That rubbed me the wrong way, but my friends and I wanted to enjoy the night so we went inside. Then we went to the bar and the bartender LAUREN was extremely rude on several occasions and started yelling at us and I had enough. So I ask her to stop yelling, because at the end of the day you are at work and we are still buying customers. She then stated “do you want to leave” and at this point I’m upset, because she was the one being rude to CUSTOMERS and needed to leave. She gestures for security and they tell me to follow them. They didn’t ask me what happened, nor were they around to hear the rude bartender…but they demanded I leave and that was unfair. I did nothing wrong and I will not be returning to their establishment and I will not recommend them to anyone after...
Read moreOverall nice western bar with nice setup, I had a good time. DJ played a nice balance of line dance songs and hip-hop mixes. But the rest of the country songs were over half slow songs. Which made it harder to stay amped on the dance floor. Could use more jiving dance songs. He also wouldn't take requests from men, he'd ignore us, But if we sent the women in our party he'd perk right up.
The smoke is pretty heavy, I was a visitor and didn't expect it.
Finally, a women from the next table came over to talk to our party and one of our guys stood up because he couldn't hear her. Her boyfriend or significant other charged our table shoving his partner and members of our party four times. The bouncers got over to it quickly but even when it was explained to them they let...
