Store staff is rude and gives you the fifth degree when they find you're making a return. Had an online order I needed to return but had already removed the tags because I wash clothes before wearing them, obviously the tags aren't washer friendly. Anyway upon going to the store on 10/29, while standing in line I witnessed the manager (mid-late 20s, Black female with glasses, short) rudely retort to an older woman who wanted to make a return of a Nordstrom product that "(she's) the manager on duty and that there's no one higher than (her) in the building so go return it to Nordstrom then". Then getting into it with a male customer who wanted to return a shirt with no tag that had a small hole in, at which point he asked for her info which she (reluctantly) gave him. After which it was my turn up at the counter, with my printed out order and order # listed and the item in my hand (a crispy pair of unworn Levi's that had an imperfection upon receipt) which I merely wanted to exchange for a similar pair. Manager walks over and sarcastically tells me "oh sorry with no tag we can't take these back". Not to mention prior to saying that she asked if they were Haute Look or came from Nordstrom (I saw where this was going). I smiled, said thank you and left this establishment. Employees are rude, but how can you blame them? The manager is setting a poor example by ranting at customers like some evil repressed fire breathing dragon. You would think the very people who are paying her check would get some type of respect. No it's "oh that's not a purchase so please get out". Worst experience I've had in a Nordstrom store, and I've worked for...
Read moreI was shopping at Nordstrom Rack when I witnessed something absolutely unacceptable. A young woman was simply trying to make a purchase using her mother’s card, with full permission and even FaceTiming her mother at the register to confirm everything. Instead of handling it with professionalism, the employee and manager immediately accused her of fraud and made a huge scene in front of everyone.
It was honestly shocking to watch. The customer stayed calm and kept explaining that her mother was on the phone, but the staff refused to listen, spoke to her in a rude and condescending manner, and publicly humiliated her as if she was trying to steal. Other shoppers, including myself, were visibly uncomfortable with how they were treating her.
It was completely uncalled for. Instead of discreetly verifying the situation, they chose to embarrass her and act as if she was a criminal. The way the staff handled it was disrespectful, unnecessary, and flat-out wrong. I felt awful for her, and I can’t imagine how she must have felt walking out of that store.
Nordstrom Rack needs to train their employees on professionalism and basic respect. No customer should ever be treated like this. If this is how they handle situations, I will not be returning, and I’d encourage others to think twice before...
Read moreI had an extremely uncomfortable experience while trying on clothes at this store. A male employee was stationed in the women’s fitting room area, which already feels intrusive given the poor design of the fitting rooms—you can clearly see through the cracks in the doors.
This setup made me feel very exposed and uneasy. When I shared my concern with one of the managers, instead of addressing it directly, she told me to speak with another manager. As a woman, hearing that felt dismissive and frustrating. If a customer expresses discomfort in such a vulnerable setting, it should be taken seriously—immediately and professionally.
A man should not be assigned to monitor a women’s fitting room, especially when privacy is already compromised. I will not be returning. This experience made it very clear that the staff lacks both awareness and understanding of what quality service and basic customer care should look like. This place also was extremely messy. Clothes were all over the place and nothing was organized by size—it was nearly impossible to find anything. It felt chaotic and poorly maintained. Definitely not the shopping experience I...
