I visited the location in Locust Grove yesterday and I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and orderliness of this location. Itās one of the most well organized butcher shops Iāve seen in my life. All of the cuts of meat was very fresh and I was able to talk one on one with the bushes there and all of the staff there is no back room for them to hide. I was able to ask a lot of questions and get answers and see a lot of extra products they had that were prepackaged that were very valuable. My wife and I wind up, leaving with some beef, short ribs and she got some chicken salad and potato salad. I will be cooking the short ribs tomorrow And we did eat the chicken salad and the potato salad which was good. The staff was very friendly and I definitely would highly recommend you taking a look at their packages that they have as well. This is superior quality over what you get from the supermarket or grocery. Check out some of the photos and feel free to go. Check them...

My 4-year-old has been asking me to make griotāa delicious braised and fried pork dish from my parentsā home countryāso I needed to find pork shoulder/Boston butt locally. The guy behind the counter and Ms. Deborah at the front were very welcoming and super kind to both me and my 4-year-old.
The experience reminded me of my visits to the Latin and Caribbean markets back home in the Northeast. They even cut the meat into 1-inch chunks, perfect for making griot, which is a service you rarely get at regular supermarkets anymore. The quality of the meat is excellent, and their prices are competitive compared to the factory-shipped options in grocery stores, which may or may not be all-natural.
I definitely plan to support this local business for all my...

Why do they rock?
So this was my first time visiting a true butcher shop. I was a little overwhelmed when I walked in. That was quickly put to rest when I was met with several hellos and someone came from behind the counter to explain the layout of the store as well as the source of their products. She offered me a sample of some pretty tasty sausage and allowed me some time to check out the different options. I ended up purchasing a couple of lbs of the bacon burger as well as a tri tip. At checkout they gave me some free samples of a sauce and a rub. The bacon burger made a fantastic meat loaf! Tri tip was a beautiful cut with some of the best marbling I've ever seen in that cut. I Can't wait to serve it up and go back for more! Overall, I had a great experience and am looking forward to going back to try...
