Was exceptional service at first. Then many issues came about. Even though Nancy was very calm and positive I was one nervous bride going back to the dress shop every Saturday for appointments for almost a month. Finally picked up the dress the weekend before my wedding, which coming to find out after speaking to my coordinator and many other brides in way late considering their dress buying experiences. First, we were given a time frame for when the dress would be delivered to her shop, it was late (not her fault) but no one called to say it had arrived. I went in person to the shop to ask and it was magically just delivered. The bustle strap and button were upside down so she had to fix that, the lace on my shoulders was sewed under the sleeve on one side and not the other (supposed to be left as it was), but the worse part was the dress alterations around my stomach area. I am pretty in shape but every time she tried to fit the dress to my body shape there was clearly a large flap of fabric hanging on the front by my stomach giving the illusion in photos that I had a pregnant belly. She told me that I had to just pull the dress down and constantly be mindful of it because that's how the dress is and she couldn't fix it but had no problem charging me $50 to "alter" that part of the dress- very disappointing. The bustle straps were poorly sewed in and ripped completely apart during the reception after the first slow dance where the dress wasn't being stepped on. Luckily my coordinator safety pinned the bustle up so it would stay, she also said the straps were hardly stitched into the fabric and it would have stretched out and came out on its own even if it wasn't stepped on. The bra pads that I assumed would be sewed in all the way around the pad had two stitches on the top and both sides not providing much support for long term wear on my wedding day. She also didn't want me to take home my veil (which was bought and paid for in full when the dress was ordered and paid for in full) for whatever reason I do not know. Furthermore, Nancy raves about discounting alteration fees for those who buy their dress in her shop which was an incredible lie considering the prices that are in the display case for everyone was what she charged me (probably because I was picky about my dress fitting and being altered properly but that's an assumption so who knows!) What was even worse and hurtful is that she was incredibly pushy about having me be apart of her little fashion show rather than ensuring I was fully happy with the dress. Would not recommend, would not shop here for future formal wear either. It was the most stressful and least enjoyable part about the entire wedding planning process. Positives- cute boutique in downtown area, decent selection for...
Read moreI would NOT recommend this bridal shop. I said yes to the dress here. I wanted more puffiness on the bottom which Nancy said she could do. They ordered me a size 14 when I thought it was 12. I went in to try on the dress when it arrived and it was huge on me. You would have to alter the top to where it would take away from the dress then she told me she didn't know if she would be able to add puffiness because she doesnt work with that company anymore (not delivering their services said). I was not satisfied with the dress and service so I asked for my refund. Nancy said no because my dress was a special order. If it was a special order then why didn't I pay my dress in full like your receipt says? "SPECIAL ORDERS MUST BE PAID IN FULL" is what it says but i only paid 60% of it so my order wasn't a special order since I didnt pay in full. Nancy then said she could give me store credit so I was like okay well I'll take my Mom, MIL, and grandma to get their dresses there. Nancy called me back saying "oh I'm only giving you $500 store credit" but before it was the $1300 deposit store credit I had given. I need my money back as I'm not satisfied with the dress, service, and cooperation. So unprofessional and rude. I feel robbed and they have ruined my whole wedding experience. Any of my family and friends getting married I will let them know to stay clear from...
Read moreI came in to get a bridesmaid dress altered in 2021 and I havenât been back since. Iâm actually getting married in October of this year and purposely avoided this place to go dress shopping. During my visit, I had a very nice lady greet me and ask what I was there for. When I had told her, she put me in a changing room and asked me to put on the dress to start marking for alterations. In the middle of changing, the owner opened the curtains to my dressing room and asked me what I was doing there. I explained why and she then told me to get dressed, that I shouldnât be in the room, and get out because she had an appointment that needed the room. I was very caught off guard and so I got dressed and proceeded to leave when she told me to come back tomorrow. Reluctantly, I did but this time with my mom since she needed her dress altered too. When I returned and the owner realized that she knew my parents, she began to apologize while still making up excuses as to why she was so rude to me the day before. Honestly, the apology meant nothing to me seeing that if she didnât already know my parents, there would have never been an apology. Itâs safe to assume thatâs how she treats the majority of her customers as long as she doesnât know them already. Super rude and super...
