Hocking Hills Moonshine — Local services in Logan

Stopped in today for my birthday and one of the owners, Brian, made the stop an incredible treat! They gave us a tour of the facility and we could see the mashing process all the way through to the cooking it down and bottling it. Tried all of the different flavors they have and every one of them was amazing!

The 45 proof flavored shines were so amazing and they were all delicious!! The green apple and blackberry were our favorites. Then the original shine was so smooth and had incredible flavor and they have ones called lightning and thunder that were 120 and 151 proof which were surprisingly smooth and delicious! When you try the stronger proof ones with the flavored mixers that they offer, it cut them down really nice and made them a true joy to drink!

The bourbon they make is a true sipper bourbon with incredible flavor! They do not make anything that fell short...

My husband and I stopped in today for his birthday and it was an incredible experience! We left happy and with some great products that we are looking forward to taking home! Brian, one of the owners, made it such a personable visit for us. He gave us a tour of the facility, we did our shine tastings and he made us feel at home. The shine was smooth and we especially loved the flavored ones. They have yummy mixers and he gave tons of excellent recommendations. You can tell a lot of love & hard work goes into their products! And we were surprised by how fair the prices are. We are definitely going to make this a must stop anytime we are in Ohio. The current location was a bit hard to find. They will be moving soon to a much larger location. The moonshine was some of the best I've had. Having gone through many of the Gatlinburg distilleries pretty familiar. The Buckeye Thunder was the surprise of the group. At 151 proof (75% alcohol) was amazing and would make a good sip. Typically 151's are for mixing. You can sip this one. Buckeye Lightning was really good and the Peach Tea and Green Apple was really good. Went to what will be the new location within the next couple of weeks (right behind Utopia on Spring St.) and met the owner. Really knows what moonshine's about and committed to the craft.
