The Woodlands at Hocking Hills — Local services in Logan

I planned a trip to Woodland Lodge at Hocking Hills 8/1/24 - 8/4/24 for 16 guys. Here’s my quick assessment of my experience:

The house exceeded expectations. Driving up, we loved learning that the house was fairly secluded - exactly what we wanted. So much land and opportunity to enjoy the outdoors right there at our house. Two fire pits, hot tub, room for us to get a pick up game of whiffleball in! The inside was immaculately clean and welcoming. Very spacious with plenty of room for 16 men. The game room was a surprise to many of my friends who didn’t look at the entire listing when we booked, and they enjoyed it tremendously. Bedrooms were the right size and beds themselves were so comfortable. Plenty of TVs to cater to the Nintendo Wii that we brought and watching pretty much every Olympic event.

Very close to the town of Logan where we were able to get a meal out, find some pickleball courts, and enjoy the hiking surrounding the area.

Most importantly, Debbie. Debbie is amazing! She was so informative and communicative with me the entire time - leading up to our stay, during the stay, and to thank us after our stay. We had a small issue with a grill we wanted to use, and she was extremely quick to remedy the situation.

I would absolutely recommend Woodland Lodge and Debbie...

We had a perfect stay! The updates to this property are right on the money. We found the house to be super clean and fully stocked when we arrived. The game room kept us occupied and laughing the whole weekend! So many games to play! Love the double fire pit to entertain many people. So much space to spread out! Down stairs movie area was so fun for the kids and the upstairs ‘quiet area’ with INDOOR hammocks was so relaxing for the adults. And so many beds! What a treat to have two double bunk bed PLUS a queen bedrooms! The kids LOVED it! So nice to have a bathroom on every floor and two of the three other bedrooms were big enough to have air mattresses on the floor for the little kids. The upstairs master even has a HUGE walk in closet that would be perfect for a baby in a pack n play (which they provide). The new hot tub worked perfectly and very relaxing with woods all around. The location of this property was great for our friends prone to car sickness as it is not far off the highway through the winding hocking hills roads. What a wonderful stay we had! We enjoyed an amazing stay at the Woodlands Lodge in Hocking Hills. It’s located on a beautiful quiet site with gorgeous views. We even saw deer one morning. (In retrospect we were also glad that the lodge is on higher ground. We had a lot of rain during our stay and noticed that some cottages on lower elevations were flooded). Our host, Debbie, was very helpful and quick to communicate if we had a question. She also had useful information available at the cottage which detailed local attractions, grocery stores, restaurants, urgent care, etc. (yes, Walmart delivers!). We appreciated our host’s efforts to give back to their community and to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital. The cottage is conveniently located to many of the popular hikes in the area. Old Man’s Cave and Ash Cave were favorites! The inside is beautiful as well and thoughtfully stocked with all the necessities. Plenty of living space inside and out with two fire pits, large yard, large deck in the back and the game room. We look forward to staying here again the next...
