Cabins at Hickory Ridge — Local services in Logan

I can't rave enough about our stay here. Upon booking, we received emails about where to go, which driveway, and some of what is included. They also provided lists of restaurants, grocery stores, and trails in the area. We got a text day of telling us that we could check in an hour early! (Early check-in isn't guaranteed, so that was a nice surprise!) When we arrived, there was a personalized sign and the cabin was CLEAN!! It was so nice inside and outside. So sad that with COVID that they have to remove all the games and movies they had, but we did bring our own to enjoy. There was plenty of space for everyone (6 of us total). What we weren't told was what was provided (or I'm just blind and didn't see it). They provided hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels, hand sanitizer, dish soap, lighter fluid, metal marshmallow sticks for the fire, and spices! They had salt, pepper, garlic powder, lemon pepper, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and a couple others (didn't look because i didn't need them). Internet was decently fast as we needed it to counteract the fact that there is no cell service. Overall great experience, and my fiancé and I may plan a trip to their smaller cabin soon! Great place to stay at Shellman's Bluff! Quaint, clean, and comfortable. Decor is beautiful. Master is very comfortable. Queen in 2nd and double bunks in 3rd are a great option. Plenty of room to spread out. Laundry with detergent etc. Kitchen and bathroom stocked with everything you might need. Keurig + carafe coffee maker. I can't think of anything you might want. Just bring food. It's home away from home only better! Fish camp a few doors down with boat launch if that's your thing. Great little restaurant within walking distance. Very quiet community. There is a band shell 'the slab' that hosts events and music. You will hear it but ends by 11?? Golf carts galore! Neighbor next door dogs bark when they are outside, but not an issue at night. If you like a comfortable clean home, in a quiet area under the mossy oaks, then this is it. Oh, if you plan on cooking meals, get groceries before you get here. The Dollar General has everything -I mean everything! But if you lack a specific ingredient, you will have to go into town (10miles??) for a true grocery store. Warm friendly atmosphere. Music playing upon arrival in the loft as well as lit candles.

The loft has a king size bed, two recliners, a TV with satalite TV channels, a dvd player, as well as a stero. There is also a full bathroom.

On the first floor the kitchen is stocked with most everything you need to create great meals. Only thing you need to bring is the food! The first floor also has two bedrooms with queen beds and a full bathroom.

The basement area has a mini kitchen (no stove), pool table, and big screen tv with satalite tv channels. There is one bedroom with a queen bed and one full bathroom in the basement as well. There is also a futon, a couch and two recliners. They also provided a dvd player for movies. There is hot tub that is spacious and very well maintained!

My husband and I have stayed here alot! We have brought family with us or just stayed the two of us. We'll continue to frequent this beautiful, relaxing cabin! But don't just take my word for it. Give it a try. You won't be...
