Lots of ingredients here, was very hard for me to orient myself and I couldn't find anything because I didnt know what the ingredients looked like and had never been to an asian market before. I asked some store employees for help who helped me, but for the most part it's hard to find someone to ask for help because they are all at the register. However, they have a lot of stuff you would hope to find at an oriental market. I left without things like palm sugar, curry paste, oyster sauce, didn't know where to look for anything. The isles are very small and hard to access and it is claustrophobic, so you may not want to spend a lot of time browsing. But once you are familiar with the store, it seems like a great place to be able to go and a good resource for harder to find ingredients.
Edit: Also, be careful, there is mold on some of the produce, I had to throw away the kaffir lime leaves I bought. You can see in a couple of my pictures that there is mold on some of the green chilies too. My mom advised me to buy the lime leaves, I should have trusted my judgement, but it was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNumber one, the workers are hella rude . There was a middle age lady stocking stuff on the shelves, I asked here where can I find the sweet rice flour . She ignored me & I asked her again & she gave me the dirtiest look like I was not good enough to ask her . She then raised her voice in her language pointing at a different isle . Im like um ok thank you? My children even said she was horribly rude. If you donāt like your job then donāt work ? You donāt need to take out your frustration with other people . All in all , I found the rice flour by myself because she didnāt send me to the correct isle . I came home to make mochi , as I poured the box into a bowl, I seen a BUNCH of little black bugs in it . DISGUSTING!! I will never go to this store again. Rude customer service and selling stuff that are probably expired but have literal...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was running errands with a friend and they stopped here for whatever. I curiously went inside... The place smells bad and they have too much stuff everywhere for such a small store (has the Fire Marshall been in here?). The isles are narrow with boxes blocking your path. The shelves are tightly over packed. They have a ?fresh? fish and seafood display cooler, which smells awful. They have fans placed about the store to attempt to keep it cool. At some point you're just recirculating hot air. I don't think they have A/C or they are to miserly to turn it on. They told me I could not take any pictures, so imagine if a hoarder opened up a grocery store in their garage. Now you pretty much have an idea what I saw. It's what a typical grocery store looks like in a third world...
