Dutch Bros Coffee — Restaurant in Lompoc

This rate is for one specific barista, a darker skin young guy. Everytime all baristas are really nice, service is great. But this one time I saw him for the first time, he was taking my order (iced latte with whipped cream) and I asked to not put lid on top, just hand it to me please. It’s my preference when I order a drink with whipped cream. He was so confused and just stared at me with weird unfriendly face asking “no lid??”. I had to explain him a few times I don’t want lid on top, I just need it handed to me. It was really hard for him to do that, he was rude and made me feel like I’m crazy for asking it. When coffee was ready, he added the smallest dollop of whipped cream, I asked if he can add more and he was hesitating to do it and just stared at me. I asked again and he finally added more. Every other barista makes perfect drinks, but next time I see him working, I’ll cancel my order, sorry. I worked as a barista for many years and I know what is a good service. A barista shouldn’t...

This place is small, but it's clean, the staff are awesome, and the drinks are killer! Flavor packed ice brew coffee, macchiatos, smoothies, over 20 flavors of milkshakes, house made energy drinks! The part I appreciate is that they checked if the products they use had soy for me, which thankfully it doesn't. This was only our second time ordering, but I'm already hooked! There was a brief hiccup with their system, but it was quickly resolved & we got our proper order. They even gave me a vynle decal for the trouble! Definitely going to be a popular stop for me!

2025 Addition: I am a Dutch Bro. I get a drink 2-4 times every month. Trying to get through every flavor....

One word: OBSESSED! I love everything about our local Dutch Bros here in Lompoc. The way staff interacts with us customers is so cool. I have never been to a shop where they actually engage in conversations. Every one is always so friendly and quick to answer any questions I have. When there is long lines, I don't mind waiting because 1, my drink is going to make the wait worth it and 2, the vibes from the staff are so cool. The manager Jose (I believe is his name) is so helpful and makes sure the customer is always happy before leaving. I will pick this coffee shop over the others in this town. I am ONE HAPPY...
