Manchester Brothers — Local services in Longview

I understand it's a family owned business, but they need to keep their political and religious thoughts to themselves and do not display them on their reader board. The last thing I need to see Sunday morning leaving Winco to head home is a message from Manchester Brothers telling me how I need to repent or go to hell. Along with their various ideas of the democratic party, I'm an independent but still is wrong. I thought I would pay their business a visit for a new Stove and one of the people started talking about the bible, I politely told them that I'm an Atheist and they started to berate me not cool at all. If religious and political forcing of ideologies weren't bad enough, their prices are laughably high.

Pro: If your a religious or far right winger this place and their bigotries is for you.

Con: If you prefer not to have your religious preferences smeared do not come here. Con: If you prefer to go to a store and not have your political affiliation ran through the dirt this is also not a place for you. Con: Prices are obscenely high. Con: Their reader board seems to be their avenue to speak their hatred.

On a serious note, this business should be censored by the longview city council, I find it impossible to think that they haven't violated any...

I always try to buy from local mom and pop stores. I went in Sarurday and purchased a new washer and dryer. I did buy a more basic model as it is just the two of us we don't need big and fancy. They delivered them and set them.up today. As soon as the guys left I started a load of laundry. The washing machine is extremely loud. I called the store right away and talked with Lynn. She said they have had complaints about them being loud as they are a cheaper model. She said I should call the manufacturer. Heres my take on it you know a product is like this either disclose it or don't sell the product. It's not like you can listen to them in advance. I won't shop...

I purchased large appliances there twice and had a good experience both times. The folks are friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. I like to support locally owned businesses as much as possible, and this one has earned my support. Good variety of appliances and sporting goods, competitive prices, and plenty of parking and easy access. Appliance delivery and haul away of your old one is also available at a reasonable price....
