Call & Visit 6/14
Pharmacists clearly don't do their jobs. After four days of waiting for a prescription to get filled, when we were ready to pick it up, we called to make sure it was ready because we never received a call or text indicating that it was.
We were told there were no prescriptions to be filled. My wife checked her records that indicated her doctor did fill the script. Called back later and the same lady said it was in their system but not filled yet... Excuse me??? They had it for 4 days. Mental health medication that she needed this weekend.
We went to pick it up, but we were 15min late and we're told there was no way we could get the meds since everything was closed and locked up and the pharmacist was "clocked out" despite her and the manager standing there due to an issue with the cage door. I understand their situation, but good customer service would've used that time to get us the medication my wife needed. She could've clocked back in while she waited for help with her door. Or, as I've done in CS many of times, just help someone, ffs. Just got a very unsympathetic, "I'm so sorry," from the manager.
This isn't the first time Giant has screwed her over, and you can see by other reviews that it's not only her.
Pharmacists have an extremely important job...

The rules are not all entirely under their control, but just something to be aware of so you are prepared for the system to work differenly than one might expect if you are new to the area, system, how certain prescriptions are handled, etc.
Jill is excellent and the very best person in the entire organization. She should have a huge raise and promotion because she always gets things right, always knows what to do, is empathetic, and does it all with a smile on her face even when it's...
Read moreI have visited that pharmacy numerous times due to its proximity to my home. However, each time I encounter issues such as staff members not being familiar with the medication, technical problems with the dispenser, or difficulties processing the prescription. It is perplexing that a large pharmacy like this would have such incompetent staff. Most of the staff members seem to lack adequate training and knowledge about common medications. It would be beneficial for them to have at least one pharmacist who is well-versed in common medications to provide better service and support to customers. I hope this issue can be...
