Recently there was an accident in my family... My MacBook Pro took a tumble and my screen was shattered from the outside in... I burst into tears and figured that nothing would be salvaged and I would have to buy a whole new laptop. Macbook Pros are not cheap folks...Neither are their parts.

I called several different places to try and get an idea of how much it would cost...and then finally after bringing it over to Macmall and being quoted at nearly $1000 for repair, I started contemplating about buying the part myself and searching for youtube videos/friends who might be able to do it for me. Coming back from the Macmall, I stopped at the red light at Santa Monica and Corinth Ave and noticed a small little shop that said they were an accredited business and repaired both PCs and Macs. I thought what the hell....I might as well...

To my delight, not only did they quote me at a price less than half of what Macmall wanted charge me, but he was honest and helpful. Together we devised a plan to help me save money. He mentioned that he would pull the dent out of the front panel of my laptop and that would save me the most money on parts. I wasn't sure if my hard drive had been affected in the fall or my DVD player, he said he would take a look and call me if anything was wrong. He called me when it was ready for pick up 4 days later.

Not only did they do a great job, but he showed me what they did, presented my old parts to show what they had replaced and why (and asked if i wanted to keep or have them recycled-which they would take care of, gave me some advice on maintenance, and sent me on my way at the same price that he quoted me on. They never tried to upsell me on anything, give me some bullshit story about me needing a new DVD player (it sounded a little loud, but was otherwise still in working order which he pointed out).

Honest. Fast. Dependable. Cheap.

Support the local community and check this place out! From now on, I will go here for all my computer issues and will tell my friends to do the same. Ask for the owner, Fred...

AND their diagnostic is $45 which is cheaper than both Macmall and BestBuy...and that fee also goes towards the cost of your...

Computer palace is THE place I am taking my computer any time I have any issue or even when I need to upgrade and get a new computer. I had gone several times already and these gentlemen are very trustworthy ,very professional. I work in animation and from home and it was a relief to find a great business to save me from computer related issues.( and great reasonable prices). Not sure why there are only 4 stars on some of the reviews. Fred has saved me on many occasions fixing my pc issues in a timely manner and had also sold me a great reasonably priced computer ( which I am now using as a backup in case anything goes wrong with the pc I had bought from ibuypower, which gave me a lot of trouble ) I used to build my own computers late 90’s in early 2000’s,but forgot most of it, so I am better off finding good professionals and avoid headaches. this was long overdue review I wanted to write and always greatful for their great work ethic , I hope to see them for many years to come and will recommend to any individual o business. Computer Palace is an EXCELLENT...

EXPECT THE PHONE ESTIMATE TO BE DIFFERENT THAN WHEN THE TECH ACTUALLY SEES THE COMPUTER- you can't properly diagnose what you cannot actually see!

Fred is incredible, no doubt about it. There was a little confusion about what kind of keyboard I had on my well-worn 2015 HP Envy and we ultimately had to unhook the sub-woofer (sad face). But I have a new keyboard that works brilliantly and the static from the speakers is gone. So for B quality sound and $350, I've basically got a "new" laptop and it only took about 10 days. Fred was up-front about what he could and couldn't do and how much it would cost; he is a VERY solid fellow. Accept that and if you don't like it, go somewhere else. I initially put 4 stars, but that would be a dick move and everybody needs higher ratings, so take that extra star to bring up your average. Free parking...
