I went here back in January for the first time for a Vaginal steam with this location! I wont say it was the worst experience ever, but I will say it was by far the most disturbing. I was left on the extremely hot seat for 45 minutes with little to no conversation or care as to the processes. I smiled multiple times and say “hot” as everyone’s spoke in another language and didnt converse much with me (which was cool, I didn’t come to make a bff). Of course I conduced enough research, but it would have been helpful to feel supported in a place where sensitive services are performed, and where my hard earned money is spent. You get what you pay for, that $20 steam was every bit of valued at that! Venue was decent and clean, but the ladies aren’t friendly and the refreshments are pricey for such a “hole in the wall” experience.
Maybe caring a bit more about your customers, being more hands on. I know running a business isn’t easy, that spa was packed. But first time experiences are what create a continuous customer! If all you want are the regulars, you’re on track. I can honestly say I’d...
Read moreLet me start off saying the customer service here is great. The manager or owner was really polite and gave me a warm welcome and a quick rundown of how things work around the spa. Very clean and peaceful. And that’s where the list of pros end. I️ don’t advise any woman of color to go to this spa. I️ had no idea my race was such a problem at a Korean spa in LA in 2017. No one wanted to be near me. They’d all get up and walk out of the room. I️ was sitting in the steam room and a woman opened the door and literally gasped and slammed the door. Scornful glances every where I️ turned. The owner was the only one who showed any kindness. I️ stayed an hour before I️ ran to my locker got dressed then left in tears. I️ told the owner that the other women are having a hard time around a Black woman. If you have light skin I’m sure you’ll have a great time. If you’re a dark skinned Asian, Latina or black woman. DON’T bother...
Read moreThis is not a luxury spa if that's what you're looking for. They've done some nice remodeling over the years including the outside. This is your traditional Korean spa, women only, and you're give one robe and a towel. It's small with a heated floor area to lay down while you watch TV. There is one steam room, dry room, and a quiet dark room with herbs infused to sleep peacefully. Also, one cold and one hot pool. It doesn't feel suffocating by any means, and there's never too many people at a time that I've seen. I've been coming here for years, and it gets the job done. There is all the massages, facials, and scrubs available all day. You're able to place an order for food from the Korean restaurant next door! There is a tiny parking lot with valet on weekends/night time. They are NOT a 24 hour spa so don't expect to sleep here...
