While my daughter and I were eating, we found multiple pieces of silica gel in our radish side dish. We bit into around four total. The first few times we thought we had chipped a tooth or it was some kind of spice/seasoning. We ate with caution. The third and fourth time it happened, we spit it out and took pictures. When I fished around in the side dish container, I found one more fully intact.
When we called in hopes of figuring out what was going on, we were met with a rude, dismissive woman. Not a single word even close to "sorry" was said and she told us that next time we come she'd give us a free tray of soondae. When I said that the free tray of soondae wasn't the focus and that I wanted to know if this was some kind of mistake, she got annoyed that I was angry and told me it was probably just a piece of plastic. I get that silica gel is non-toxic but how is this okay? And if its "just a piece of plastic" is it any better? She treated us like we called to complain for some free food and talked to us with insane attitude.
I was excited to try the food as it was a new place in the nighborhood. Never going back there again. I understand mistakes can happen as it's very easy to mess things up in the food industry but the attitude and words I was met with was...
Read moreI don't understand the negative reviews, what a bunch of sour Karen's with obviously no taste in authentic good food and portions.(FYI the food photo taken after we started eating it and taken a few pieces, it was present beautifully before this photo and had more) . I went here today with my bf and the food was amazing and authentic as it gets. I've been to Seoul, South Korea myself and I had one of the best foods recommended there and this place is on par with those I've had there. Korean food is one of my favorites and this place does it perfectly. I had the pork soup and bossam to share, the broth was so good and delicious, portions were nice. The kimchi here is truly one of the best kimchi's I've ever had, just perfectly balanced in every way. Honestly, I have had a hard time finding good food here in L.A but on our last day here we are so happy we found...
Read moreLocated in a small plaza alongside Zzamong. Parking is limited in the lot and is valet only but is probably your best option as street parking here is fairly limited.
Restaurant is small but seating should be fairly plentiful
Had two dishes: The spicy pork trotter was amazing. Level 1-3 in spice level and level 1 is definitely palatable. It is expensive but portions are generous and can feed several people with rice and lettuce wraps.
The spicy soondae soup was ok. fairy thin broth. Comes with soondae (obv), thin strips of pork, and intestines with some leeks. Have definitely had better elsewhere and wouldnt recommend. The soondae is rubbery and not particularly flavorful.
Would be back though to try...
