I was staying in a 8person Female dorm for 13 nights. One thing about this place is that you have to carry your bags up the STAIRS! and i had 2 bags to bring up with no help at all, once i got to my room i was shown all the facilities and chose my bed. Once again this was a 8 person room and it only had ONE bathroom for 8 PEOPLE! People would hog the bathroom and stay in there for a long period of time when i needed to use it! This place also does not have a kitchen, it has one microwave and one kettle. THAT IS IT! To eat your food you had to go back down the stairs to the “meeting area” that had 3 tables and 6 chairs (not enough for the amount of people there). I was woken up every single night by rude people who were also staying here, they would come in LATE and then on the lights and make very loud noises and would not care at all. I was woken up by one person hitting me to ask “how to turn the AC off” because it was cold (I WAS ASLEEP!) There was not enough room for everyone, there was tiny little lockers to fit small things in, there was one wardrobe that could fit a few bags in, but i had to keep mine out in the open because there isn’t enough space for 8 people!! There also was a mini fridge that couldn’t fit most peoples food/ drink in it because it was never cleaned out!!! I was given one blanket and one pillow for the entire time i was staying there, the rooms weren’t cleaned the greatest everyday, bathroom was never cleaned only was given an extra of toilet paper a day. The people who worked there were in from 1pm till 10pm and would go home, If you needed something you had to call them. There was a washer and dryer but i had to wait for so long because of the workers cleaning there own things!! The reason i am giving this place a 2 star rating is because it had a lock on the main entrance and also a lock on you own door that you are given the code to when entering. Also the man who works there is very nice and helpful, as for the others they are quite rude. I don’t recommend unless you are staying for 3 or...
Read moreMy friend and I stayed in a 8 bed female dorm for 13 nights. You definately get what you pay for. The location is pretty good (at night it’s a bit sketchy) because its very close to the metro station and the buses aswell as a cvs, ralphs, dennys and places like that. The first issue I had with the place was when we first arrived and luckily another guest happened to be coming out the door otherwise we wouldn’t have been able to get in as the reception is upstairs. We had to carry our very heavy bags up the long flight of marble stairs with no help and no clue where we were going. The “kitchen facilities” consisted of a microwave and a small kettle. This was a bit annoying as we were very limited with what we could make meal wise but again you get what you pay for. The other issue with this was the only area you were allowed to eat was downstairs in the “lounge”. I don’t understand why these two areas were separated so that was a bit of a hassle and the furniture in the lounge was very limited and didn’t have enough for everyone. The rooms were cleaned everyday (sort of) and the bathroom was pretty tidy. The big issue was that 8 people to one bathroom is really not realistic and there are always people who aren’t used to sharing so take their time in the bathroom meaning no one else can use it. I did ask the man there if there was another bathroom I could use while someone was taking a while but there was not even a public one downstairs or anything. Oh also make sure to bring your own towel because i had to pay $3 for mine! Other than these things the security in the place was very good as there was a security code for the front door and then a separate one for each room. I won’t return to the libra hotel but I’m sure if I was staying for a shorter period of time I might’ve had a...
Read moreI booked this hostel as a 1 bunk bed meaning a total of 2 people, me and a roommate (seen on picture with two heads). I would have never booked a hostel no more than one other person. The day I got there, they tried to stick me with a 4 bunk bed, total of 8 girls. I pulled up my receipt to show manager Sunnis and assistant manager. They said they don’t have a 1bunk bed. The smallest size is up to 6 girls in a room or you can get a private room for $91 which you might as well stay at a real hotel for that price because it is not worth it staying here. The quality of the room: 1 bathroom is crumby. The managers were trying to put it on me saying I misunderstood which I didn’t. They did not want to reason with me. It was false advertisement. I Gave it a try the first night, Sunnie have me the option to room with 5 girls instead for a few more dollars more. That night when I was trying to sleep at 10pm, manager sunnie comes barging in my room turned the light on and apologized for giving me the wrong room. She said I need to move into the 8 girl bunk because she made a mistake and didn’t check the computer, she already had reservations made in the room I was staying in. I couldn’t believe the horrible experience I went through and in professionalism!! I literally had an anxiety attacking that night. Had girls all hours of the night coming in the room and taking showers l, waking everyone up. The cleaning guy was also sketch. He kept going in and out of the room every second as if he was waiting for me to leave. After I left and he got done cleaning I went back in the room as he didn’t know. He went into the room saw me and said oh sorry and left. I do not trust these people, I do not reccomend this place AT ALL. I...
