I really wanted to have a great experience here so I could leave a glowing review. I know many businesses on rely on exposure and customer support, and I genuinely hoped to be one of those happy customers. But this will be a mixed review — with both pros and cons to share.
I purchased the "60 Minutes Swedish, Deep Tissue or Thai Massage with Aromatherapy and Optional Hot Stones" on GroupOn.
Pros: • The location is super convenient, with a parking lot that actually has plenty of spaces — a rare find in LA, especially near Koreatown. • The space itself was clean, bright, and even felt quite spacious. • The woman who checked me in was extremely kind and welcoming — her warm energy made me feel comfortable from the start. • The hot stones were the perfect temperature, hot yet relaxing on my skin, these felt amazing.
Cons: • Unfortunately, the massage itself was not a good fit for me. I asked the therapist several times to use less pressure, and while he would ease up briefly, he consistently returned to using too much pressure. I had to repeat myself 4–5 times during the session. I wish he had been more attentive and responsive, both to my verbal requests and to my physical cues. • I chose to leave my underwear on for comfort, but the therapist repeatedly rolled them down below my butt — even after I pulled them back up. This made me feel extremely uncomfortable. If a client chooses to keep their underwear on, that boundary should be fully respected. • Lastly, there was a strange odor that would occasionally drift into the room. I’m not sure if it was coming from outside (the window was open) or from inside, but it was unpleasant and distracting.
With stronger training for their massage staff — especially around client communication, comfort, and boundaries — I think this place could be really great. The front desk staff was lovely, and the facility has potential. I hope management will take this feedback into...
Read moreThis was our second visit here. The first time was perfect — they listened to our requests, and we tipped $20 each. This time, we booked a 60-minute massage through the same Groupon listing. We arrived early for our 8:30 appointment but weren’t seen until 8:45. My partner repeatedly asked for lighter pressure, but the masseuse kept reverting to the original pressure, leaving her in pain and tensing up. They also kept adjusting her underwear lower after she moved it back up.
Although we still tipped $5 on a $45 service out of respect, we didn’t feel this session deserved more. As someone in the service industry, the way they pushed for a higher tip was uncomfortable. Even after we explained we only had $10 left, they insisted we should give more because it was late — despite confirming ahead of time that the appointment time was fine.
The warmth and attentiveness we experienced on our first visit were gone this time, replaced with pressure for tips and disregard for comfort. Unfortunately, it left us feeling disappointed and...
Read moreThe therapists aren't fluent in English (which is fine) but ALSO do not read nonverbal signals well. I was wincing in pain and pulling away during my very rough massage, and I asked her to go soft multiple times. She agreed verbally but didn't follow through physically. No matter how much I pulled away, cried out, or even sat up, she would only adjust for a few moments and then go back to rough when she started a new section on my body. Now the next day, I'm sore as if I'm back in my rugby days.
The booking process is very difficult at this location; there's no ability to book online and there are frequent miscommunications over the phone.
Otherwise, a fine experience. They were understanding when I asked for a female therapist (as a woman) and the room was clean and comfortable. They leave the massage room door open for safety, so be aware that this is not a place for...
