I have been searching for Dhall powder(paruppu podi) all over Los Angeles in over 20 stores, but this was the only Indian grocery which had it. The store has all indian items. The owner is very kind and also gets you any specific item within a week if it is sometimes unavailable.

This owner has blatant disregard for elderly customers. When we went to the store, there were zero customers. Our father politely asked how he was doing and he stared back blankly. Check item prices before buying. Sticker prices are not always transparent. While checking out, he says, "you can put them.."...implying we could bag the groceries ourselves (when in fact, we had already started bagging by ourselves). Such an unpleasant experience with this idiot...

I came here for a school assignment that asked me to experience a different culture. I chose Indian. Immediately, as soon as I stepped in my senses were indulged. The smells are wonderful. It smells of herbs, spices, and delicous food. I would reccomend! The one warning I have is that for those who do not eat spicy food you must be wary. The foods labeled as not spicy were spicy to me! Lol i'm weak when it comes to mildy spicy 😭. Anyways, what a...

India Food Mart is a great local shop. It's always clean, well-organized, and easy to browse. The man who runs it is friendly, helpful, and knows the products well. I always get my loose leaf tea here, and it's consistently fresh. They also carry a good selection of Indian chutneys and pantry staples.
