Lovely little hotel with lots of character and charm. We had a king room at the very back corner on the top floor and found it very quiet. Comfortable beds, good air-conditioning, amazing Diptyque toiletries, and spotlessly clean. Staff were extremely kind in letting us have an extra late check-out before our 16-hour flight home. The location is also fantastic, with lots of trendy restaurants, bars, coffee shops, cinema and parks nearby. We enjoyed the local weekend craft markets and all the people and dog watching. Also close to Sony Studios and Culver City Studios if you want to check them out. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks Palihotel team!

The location is really great, off the street but close enough to the main road with access to everything. The lobby bar/ restaurant ia quite vibey and alive which offers a great hang out option, although it’s quite expensive. The rooms are really comfortable overall and clean, although I found the bed less to my liking. The shower is awesome although sometimes the light turns off while you are in it, it there’s no movement in the room, which is quite weird. Staff is quite nice overall. Would definitely come back again.

The key card reader was broken so I didn’t have a key card. I came back at 11pm and staff’s master key card was not working so I had to wait for an hour till someone to come and being told (I might not even be able to get in my room where all my stuff was). It was already midnight and I needed to wake up early in the morning! I was extremely exhausted and frustrated. The noise cancellation doesn’t exist here. You will find yourself waking up at 4am because of the people or the wind. Never gonna come back here!

Keep track of your charges if you choose to stay here. I was booked into this hotel for work by someone who doesn't know the area. From pictures, the restaurant looks adorable, but I didn't get a chance to go to the restaurant, so this is not a reflection of the restaurant. Myself and my colleague were booked in separate rooms and weren't able to check in until about midnight, due to travel. When we arrived, the security guard was sleeping in a booth in the restaurant, which is fine, late shifts are hard. We had to fill out pieces of paper with all of our details and the security guard gave us our keys. Both of us were surprised by our rooms. We were on the first floor, so trying to give benefit of the doubt, maybe other floors are better, but both of our rooms smelled of mildew and were disgusting. My bed was damp and was being blasted by the mildewy AC that is central and not controlled per room. I've stayed in hostels that were cleaner. It was fine because we had to be up and out by 8, so we sucked it up, went to sleep, and left at 8 in the morning. I drank a water from the 'minibar', which was a random basket that isn't even refrigerated, so obviously not weight monitored. The water was $13, but was a huge water that I didn’t even come close to finishing, so can’t complain about that. This started a whole slew of charges on my credit card, however. I was charged for multiple items from the 'minibar' that I didn't eat and even a $67 breakfast from 4 days after I had already checked out. I hate leaving negative reviews, but this hotel is shady and should be avoided. If you stay here, make sure to keep track of your credit card and bill. Apparently the restaurant is good, though. So much so that they charge $67...

I've stayed here several times, and honestly... I hate this place. The staff is fine but the rooms are just terrible. It's as if someone who's never stayed in a hotel room was asked to design a hotel room.

There's nowhere to put your luggage, and somehow there's also no drawers to unpack your luggage - just a teeny closet to hang a few things. Hopefully you're traveling alone and don't mind snuggling up next to it.

In my room, the handle on the shower door was installed backwards, so the towel rack was IN the shower - the only other place to hang a towel... across the bathroom above the toilet. Don't slip when you get out of the shower!

And get this - ALL OF THE POWER TO THE ROOM is on a motion sensor. And the sensor can't see inside the bathroom. After two days of all the lights shutting off on my while in the shower, I called down to see if they could change it. They said it was set to 30 minutes and they couldn't change it, but I timed it and it was set to 15 minutes... hope you don't take long showers!

Have a big meeting the next day and think you can set your computer to download the big presentation overnight? Hope you either toss and turn a lot, or you have a really good battery... because that motion sensor will kill all of the outlets in the room too - even the one charging your laptop and your phone.

All that said, the location is incredible - very close to a bunch of restaurants, coffee shops, and studios. Will I stay here again? Probably, unless a Marriott opens next door. But maybe I'll bring a kinetic art sculpture to prevent the motion sensor from going off, and pickup some...

Stayed for 4 nights, it’s in a great location, and the food at the restaurant while limited is good. The negatives just outweigh the positives and while the price per night isn’t super high I still don’t think it’s worth the stay.

The king size room we stayed in shared the outdoor atrium / patio with other rooms which was fine but the room itself was tiny. No place to put a suitcase and since we had two we spent most of the trip stepping over suitcases. Our room was super humid and musty and we would leave the doors open and turn the heat on to dry it out but after a shower - whole room would be damp. The walls are soooooo thin and our room backed the restaurant. We could hear plates being stacked, chairs moving, vacuuming at 10pm, the room next to us showering, and doors slamming since the restaurant bathrooms are in the hall with the 1st floor rooms. Thee lights turn off so quickly since they are all motion sensors and you can’t really to much to combat that if you just want to chill with a single light on you are SOL. We ordered room service once, we weren’t given silverware or napkins, that was a fun time. Overall the details seem to be lacking and I’d rather spend a little more to feel more...
