Mahalo Flowers — Local services in Los Angeles

Sorry to say, but this place is pretty racist and not inviting of Black people. So if you are black, BEWARE. When we entered the store, we were immediately met with aggression. Not only did we not received any welcomes or thank yous for buying roses at this particular location. But we kept getting followed around and asked if we needed help or if we were buying anything…The whole experience made us feel uncomfortable as we didn’t belong. The bouquet we did buy didn’t have an even spread of flowers. These were clearly bouquets made last minute for Valentines which was fine, but when we asked that they add just a few more flowers in the bouquet so it can look even for pictures, the lady goes back gets the flower arrangements and gives it to us to put in the bouquet…. It had to be the most laziest thing I’ve ever seen. It would’ve taken her two seconds to add them to the bouquet herself. I truly believe had this been any other person they would’ve done it. We quite literally had to add the flowers into our own bouquet that we bought. Keep in mind this was about 10 roses for 45$ an about the quality you could’ve gone to Ralph’s for $10. Just because you’re a busy doesn’t give you an excuse to give bad customer service. And we wanted a bigger bouquet, but every time we asked a question we were just met with immediate nos or we can’t do that or we’re too busy… But if you go on their website, they have many custom arrangements that you can buy and none of them state that they can’t be done same day or that there needs to be a time period to have them done or that they’re sold out??? So I’m confused why the lady kept telling me she couldn’t make a custom arrangement? Otherwise be more clear on your website. If you have all this time to follow us around and tell us, no, you had enough time to make a quick custom arrangement… Then when it was time to pay, they didn’t even know how to use the payment system. Literally no thank you for coming in supporting our business. It was absolutely disgusting. I’m just confused what they were there for as the other two Latin women were doing all the work. All these other two Asian ladies did was make everyone feel uncomfortable. Nonetheless, if you’re in the area, there’s flower arrangement stores that are a better pick compared to this one. Please work on your customer service in person when it comes to black patrons because it’s absolutely...

I always get concerned when ordering flowers online. In the past, almost every place I've ordered from, failed to meet expectations due to very poor quality (wilting flowers) or absolutely different from the models posted online (not even 50% similar to what I have ordered, not getting the value of what I paid for). This is my first time ordering online from Mahalo. I ordered the Deluxe Maui delight, and not only that they delivered high quality and beautiful arrangement of flowers, the actual arrangement is almost the same as the model online (almost all flowers shown on the model was used). I highly recommend Mahalo Flowers for anyone looking for high quality and good service. Absolutely got ny money's worth. MAHALO! (Posted 7 months ago)

New Post below (May 11, 2025): I am not sure how to add a new review, so I decided to update here. I would change my rating from 5 stars to 3 starts (could be better).

I understand that there will be variance on what is on the display photo vs. Actual order due to flower availability, etc. But i think it should be at least somewhat similar or notify the customers if unable to match the colors or flower arrangements. I have been ordering from Mahalo, and their service is great. However, this past Valentine's and Mother's Day was a bit disappointing. I think that matching colors matter. Apart from the arrangement and flowers shown, I think customers also select based on the arrangement of colors being displayed.

This mother's day, I have paid extra for premium to make sure that the looks and arrangement are more guaranteed, but Im disappointed to see a BIG difference. My mom just sent me the pictures. There's SO MUCH "leaves or some type of leafy greens" used as a "plug in," making the colors so dull (almost all white and green, added a little yellow). I appreciate the size of the lilies, but I really expected to see some contrast of pink or peach and green just as shown on the display.

I'm hoping next orders to be at least somewhat close to the display, especially if customers pay extra...

I wish I could give 10 stars to Mahalo Flowers! If you can imagine it, the Maui Delight and Aloha Arrangement flowers delivered were even more spectacular than the photos on the Mahalo Flowers website! I ordered the flowers for a Celebration of Life ceremony, and the brilliant colors and variety were the perfect decorations. Family members were fighting over who would get to keep the arrangements! I have ordered flowers directly from Hawaii for many years but these were the most beautiful. I was also surprised by how large and creatively designed the arrangements were, and appreciated the customer service provided in helping me to make these selections. I will always remember this beautiful design and will recommend Mahalo Flowers to all my friends in the Los Angeles area.

I also ordered an orchid lei. My family lived in Kailua, Hawaii for a few years when we were growing up. Since then we have always ordered orchid leis for special birthdays, anniversaries, and graduations on the mainland. This was the first time I have ordered a lei from Mahalo Flowers, but it will not be the last. The single strand dendrobium orchid lei was perfect. I have never seen such beautiful, fresh blossoms. I will order from Mahalo Flowers again and know that my expectations will be...
